Ignatiev Alexander: biography, information about the artist
He was born on March 28 in 1906 in Valuyki, Belgorod Region, at that time - the Voronezh province. From an early age, the boy showed a love of creativity and an interest in art. The future artist began his work with the image of propaganda posters in the local theater. In 1924 he graduated from school in Valuyki. Then he entered the Voronezh Art and Industrial College, which he graduated in 1930. In the college, among his peers, classmates, Ignatiev was considered the most talented student. After studying, he was distributed in Frunze (now Bishkek), where he worked from 1930 to 1933. teacher of the Central Pedagogical College. Since 1934, Ignatiev served as director of the Republican Museum of Fine Arts. And in 1946-1948. and 1953-1966 taught at an art school. He always took an active part in exhibitions of republican, all-union and international significance. The artist presented his individual exhibitions in Frunze (Kyrgyzstan) from 1945 to 1986.

Prizes and titles of the artist Ignatiev
In 1966, the master received the honorary title of People's Artist of the Kyrgyz SSR. Thanks to the meticulous and conscientious work on the construction of the Toktogul hydroelectric station, in 1975 Ignatiev was awarded the Prize. Toktogula.
Ignatiev Alexander was one of the organizers of the Kyrgyz Union of Artists and the initiator of the idea of creating a museum of fine arts in Valuyki.
The artist lived almost his entire conscious life in Frunze, but he never forgot the hometown of Valuyki. Throughout his life, Ignatiev cherished the dream of developing an art museum in his homeland. Acting as an initiator in 1964, he secured the opening of a museum of fine arts on the territory of a secondary school in Valuyki. The artist handed over to the museum some works from his collection, paintings by famous artists from Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the republics of the USSR, as well as about 20 amazing sculptural images. On the 400th anniversary of the beloved city of Valuyki, Alexander presented the museum with art paintings on historical subjects.
The artist is remembered and loved in the homeland
The artist Ignatiev Alexander died in March 1999. In 2011, in his homeland, in the city of Valuyki, a significant monument was erected near the museum to his fellow countryman. During his work, the artist wrote more than 100 paintings, which are located in museums in Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan. A large number of paintings and graphic works by the artist are in permanent exhibitions of 13 museums of the former USSR.
In the master’s homeland, museum staff periodically hold thematic events and museum evenings that dedicate to its founder and creator, Ignatiev Alexander. And many years after the artist’s death, his work will be remembered, admired by his talent and contribution to the spiritual development of the younger generation.
