Probably one of the most popular multi-part films of our time can be called "Soldiers" (the series, the actors and roles of which are still interesting to the viewer).
About making a movie
The creators of the series sought to recreate a real army atmosphere on the set , which, however, they did. True, the creators themselves say that their army looks very humane and fabulous compared to the present. After all, what horrors about the service you will not hear enough!
The series "Soldiers" was released in 2004. Then the first season came out. The idea of creating a series arose spontaneously. Scriptwriters Leonid Kuprido, Sergey Olehnik and others took up the plot and come up with funny situations. And the director's work was taken under his command by Sergey Arlanov. As the director himself recalls, the film crew did not want to create a documentary film about the difficulties of the army, but, on the contrary, kind and funny, which would ridicule the flaws and emphasize the merits. The scenario of the first season, as well as all subsequent ones, was based on numerous soldier jokes, jokes, army recollections of the creators of the series themselves and comical life situations. There are love lines in this film, and transitions to real friendship, patriotic duty. All this quite successfully intertwines with cheerful sketches of soldier's life. From the very beginning of the series, viewers get acquainted with two recruits - Medvedev and Sokolov. Both of them joined the army due to different circumstances. The hard worker Sokolov, who wanted to enter the engineering faculty, enters the army, the engineering troops, and Medvedev suffers punishment with an army from his own father, who decides to send his son to the service for expulsion from the university, numerous binges and noisy parties in drunken companies. Despite such a difference in goals and motives, guys become close friends. Throughout the season, the two of them fall into various stupid situations, from which they are looking for a way out.
Private Medvedev was played by the then-famous actor Alexander Lymarev. The public knows him from many films. But the real popularity was brought to him by the series “Soldiers”. The actor himself says that he was very pleased to play in the film.
The role of a simple village guy Sokolov went to the novice actor Ivan Mokhovikov, for whom the "Soldiers" became a real ticket to his acting career. Prior to that, he was known for only a few small roles.
From the ship - to the ball!
What else is famous for the series "Soldiers"? The actors and the roles they play in the series are sometimes simply incompatible! For example, many of the leading actors have never been in the army, while screenwriters and the director managed to taste all the charms of a soldier's life. Among those who did not smell army powder, there was also the venerable actor Boris Shcherbakov, who played in the eleventh season of the series of Major General Borodin.

Comedians from birth
A lot of comedic moments and the most ridiculous situations brought to the series the presence of such actors as Roman Madyanov and Alexey Maklakov. Who doesn’t remember the famous ensign Shmatko, who blew up the entire series with his crown phrases alone, and the audience rolled with laughter, sitting in front of the TV screens? Alexey Maklakov himself says that he “simply bathed in the role of a charming and funny ensign”, he invented many jokes right in the middle of the set.
Roman Madyanov perfectly coped with the role of Colonel Kolobkov, who is very comical even in his severity and seriousness.
The viewers also remembered the good friend of Sokolov and Medvedev - the local chef Vakutagin, who masterfully reincarnated Amadu Mamadakov - a young actor with a real Yakut appearance and excellent acting data.
Among all this stellar team, one cannot fail to mention Vyacheslav Grishechkin and his brilliantly played political commander Starokony, the eternal womanizer and gossip. And what is the young lieutenant Smalkov in the performance of the same young and promising Ignat Akrachkov! Let us also recall Anatoly Koshcheev, the near and very hilarious senior warrant officer Danilyuk. This is the famous “Soldiers”, whose actors and roles remain in the memory of many fans.
Definitely, the audience and after a few years will recall the images created on the screen by novice actors Yuri Safarov, Mikhail Tarabukin, Anton Eldarov, Igor Gasparyan. These young guys showed venerable professionals that they can also shine on the screen!

Actresses of the series “Soldiers” deserve no less attention. There are very few of them in the picture, but the female staff is selected very professionally.
So, for example, viewers saw a lively KVN-squad Svetlana Permyakova in the role of an interesting barmaid who turned from a secondary character to almost the main one. In the second season, the scriptwriters decided to make the heroine Permyakova happy with mutual love with Lieutenant Smalkov (I. Akrachkov). Svetlana, in many interviews, said what “Soldiers” mean to her. Actors and roles performed by them are truly inimitable!
In the first season, the performer of the role of Vari, the girls of Sokolov, shone brilliantly. This role went to the young and "green" actress Sofya Anufrieva.
