Anomalies of the organs. Aplasia and kidney doubling

There are a huge number of pathologies that occur in newborn babies. One of them will be discussed later in the article. Duplication of the kidney is a special type of abnormality of this organ. To begin with, I would like to note that in fact there are many abnormalities of the kidneys . All of this kind of pathology, which are expressed in a change in the number of kidneys, is usually divided into three groups. This, as mentioned above, is a doubling of the kidney, aplasia and an additional kidney.

If we talk about aplasia, then everything is simple. A person in a similar situation does not have one of the paired organs or no kidneys at all. Of course, the latter case should not even be disassembled, since with such a change, the newborn simply dies. However, aplasia of two kidneys at once is very rare. According to statistics, four percent of patients who have diseases associated with these organs have aplasia of one of the kidneys. In addition, such changes are most often manifested together with other diseases of the organs of the urinary and reproductive systems of a person. It should be noted that boys suffer from aplasia twice as often as girls. If the child has only one kidney, this pathology should be identified as a specialist as soon as possible. The fact is that the kidneys play an important role in the human body. The treatment of diseases of various types and character should be selected more than carefully so as not to harm and preserve all the functions of a single organ.

Doubling the kidney is a fairly common organ abnormality among young children. I must say that most of all this is typical for the fairer sex. There are bilateral doubling of the kidney and one-sided. In addition, it may be incomplete or complete. The difference is that in the first case, the so-called ureters, as a result, simply merge into one mouth, which opens in the bladder. As for complete doubling, in such a situation two ureters are formed, two mouths, which at the end also open in the bladder. It is worth noting that in most cases, with a complete doubling of this organ, one of the ureters can open not in the bladder, as mentioned above, but in the vagina or directly in the urethra or even in the intestine. In this situation, there is a slight leakage of urine, despite the fact that normal urination also persists.

Doubling a kidney in a child most often does not occur at all. It is possible to detect such a pathology absolutely by accident at the next ultrasound examination. However, it is precisely the doubled kidney in the future that will be much more susceptible to various kinds of diseases. For example, children in such situations are twenty-five percent more likely to have a disease called pyelonephritis. You can add urolithiasis, tuberculosis, and various tumors to this list. Each of these ailments occurs most often in a more serious form than in a healthy person. Of course, this is very dangerous for the body, since it is more difficult to cope with this kind of problem. Doubling the right kidney is considered a rarer occurrence.

Today, a comprehensive examination of each child is carried out. In such a situation, making a diagnosis at an early stage of the disease is much easier. As a result, treatment can take much less time and effort. In order to identify kidney pathology, it is necessary to undergo an ultrasound examination. As for the treatment, it is only required in the presence of a disease, inflammation in a doubled kidney.

Additional kidney is very rare at present.
