Moonshine is one of the most popular strong drinks in the post-Soviet space. There are several reasons for this. Firstly, such alcohol is cheaper, which is important when there is another crisis in the yard. Secondly, the opportunity to make a high-quality product with your own hands, to bring confidence and satisfaction. Do not list all the reasons - they are obvious. But still drinking ordinary moonshine, albeit filtered by all the rules, is quite mundane. But a cocktail of moonshine with an extraordinary aroma and natural ingredients in the heart will amaze any gourmet. In addition, such a drink will save the situation at any festivities and parties, and the variety of possible drinking options is simply unbelievable.
Moonshine cocktail: a universal recipe
Of course, this is an ordinary, familiar to all, "Screwdriver", created on an alcohol basis.
- Moonshine (preferably double distillation or maximally purified) - 3 parts. If a drink with a pronounced taste, then it does not matter - its juice perfectly neutralizes.
- Freshly squeezed orange juice - 7 parts. For lack of freshly squeezed, you can use the packaged. Only it should be juice, not a drink (the percentage is indicated on the package).
- Ice.
- We mix all the ingredients, insert the cocktail tubes and serve.
Note: juice on occasion can be replaced with orange or lemon "Fanta". Then the moonshine cocktail will also turn out carbonated. But remember, there will be a huge amount of sugar in it, and the naturalness of the product will drop to almost zero.
Moonshine with cola
In approximately the same way, you can prepare the next cocktail (by analogy with drinks such as “Djinn with cola” or “Whiskey cola”). The ratio of components is 3/7, but for extreme lovers you can take stronger: 1/3 or even 1/2 (the first figure is the proportion of moonshine). This cocktail made from moonshine strongly resembles the classic brand “Whiskey Cola”. The use of ice is appreciated.
Wild Mojito
Another variation that will make the party unforgettable. A great alternative to the popular "Mojito", so adored by many women. And the real Russian macho nicknamed him "Mohitovka."
- We take only high-quality distillate - 1 liter.
- Lime and its zest - 4 pieces.
- Up to 20 pieces (you can and more) of fresh mint leaves.
- A little sugar syrup to taste (mainly for ladies).
- Desired amount of ice cubes.

With prunes
Moonshine with prunes is an excellent cocktail option for meeting old friends when you want to remember the past and use something stronger. Prune perfectly harmonizes with the moonshine flavor, turning it into a noble composition, akin to cognac.
First you need some moonshine (a glass) to insist on pitted prunes (100 grams) and a handful of chopped rose hips. This tincture should be kept in a dark place for about a month.
After that, the resulting composition should be traced. After you need to enter a few tablespoons of natural honey, fragrant spices, vanilla and add pure moonshine to the container until you get a liter.
In a container for cocktails we put a lot of ice and fill them with a noble drink.
Raspberry smoothie
Moonshine, ennobled in this way, will please the beautiful half of humanity. We will need:
- half a liter of good distillate;
- a glass of homemade raspberry liquor;
- a glass of raspberry juice.
Raspberries can be replaced with strawberries - also very tasty. Mix all the ingredients in a shaker. Adding crushed ice is a plus. A moonshine cocktail is served in martini glasses. Garnished with mint, slices of orange, lemon or lime. You can put a cocktail cherry. It is drunk easily and naturally, the softness of taste perfectly neutralizes the brutal aromas of moonshine.
Laminate
This cocktail looks elegant, and is drunk with pleasure. We will need (the dosage is indicated for 1 serving, so it must be multiplied by the number of persons):
- thick cherry liquor - 20 ml;
- 70 ml of double distillate;
- freshly squeezed juice of oranges with pulp - 70 ml;
- 30 ml dessert red wine;
- ice (crushed or diced).
Pour ice into a wide toggle switch. Pour the cherry liquor gently there, then fill the container with moonshine, orange juice with pulp, and wine on top. Everything must be done with caution (this comes with experience) so that inviolable layers are preserved. We serve glasses with tubes.
Classic Ruff
Soviet traditions by some fans of spirits continue to be respected. Many people know that the best “Ruff” cocktail is obtained precisely with the participation of moonshine, where the taste of the drink is most bright compared to, for example, vodka. So, we take a mug (0.5 l) of good dense beer, moderately chilled and with a bright, hoppy taste. Now there are lots of options for such drinks. So-called live beer is best suited. We pour 50 ml and add the same amount of moonshine there. We drink in small sips. There is no need to throw ice, just as it is unnecessary to use a straw.
"Polar bear"
The Soviet version of the simplest cocktail is prepared by mixing moonshine (in the original - alcohol) with champagne. The proportions in different variations fluctuate. But basically they stick to the following: one part of moonshine is mixed with three parts of champagne. By the way, for those who have not tried it, experts recommend: it turns out to be a rather gentle and pleasant drink, despite the unkind fame. True, very drunk.
Modest "Shpok"
A classic Soviet-era cocktail can also be made with home-made distillate. So, we take 50 grams of beer and pour it into a glass. Top neatly - 100 grams of moonshine. We clamp the glass from above with the palm of our hand, turn it over and sharply hit the knee. We turn over as soon as possible to the starting position and very quickly drink the mixture, while it emits a characteristic hiss provoked by a blow. Such a drink with the addition of special effects.
Elite Nectar
Such a cocktail will appeal to many.
- orange juice (preferably natural) - 2 parts;
- Moonshine - 1 part;
- “Soviet champagne” - 1 part;
- canned pineapple rings, finely chopped or mashed - 1 part;
- some lemon zest and ice;
- add a spoonful of sugar.
