Symptoms

The diameter of these rashes is about five millimeters, and the center is slightly depressed inward. If you ignore the molluscum contagiosum in a child, no treatment can be done - the growths will begin to reach one and a half centimeters and rise on the leg.
Treatment
This skin problem is resolved using three methods. The main one is that the molluscum contagiosum in the child is removed. Treatment in this case is carried out using ordinary tweezers. It should be noted that recently, many began to abandon this method in favor of others for the reason that the liquid released from the rash contains a lot of mollusk inclusions that can damage healthy skin if it gets on it.
Because of this, you have to repeat this procedure several times, and this negatively affects the child. But if such a treatment is prescribed, after removal, be sure to treat the wounds with iodine or manganese solution for one week. Otherwise, the disease may return.
But, as you probably already understood, this is not the only way by which the molluscum contagiosum in a child is removed. Treatment can also be carried out by a cryosurgical method. In this case, the affected area is exposed to liquid nitrogen. The advantages of such therapy are its painlessness, as well as the absence of scars.
Laser rash removal is also practiced. The affected area is heated to one hundred and fifty degrees, resulting in evaporation of the mollusks. But there is one inconvenience, which is that the patient is then forbidden to wash for several days.
Prevention
Regardless of the method of treatment, prevention should be carried out along with the latter. This is a disinfection of toys, heat treatment of linen, etc. For some time you should not attend kindergarten.
