Sasha Dahl. It all started with music
The story of the creation of the musical group began with its organizer, Sasha Dahl, in the City on the Neva, the birthplace of the girl, where she studied and absorbed the atmosphere of amazing and romantic Petersburg. Alexandra from early childhood studied music and did this very enthusiastically and zealously. Giving an interview to various publications today, Dahl admits that he seriously does not know how to do anything in life, except in music. First, the girl studied at the music school in piano, then there was a school-studio for musically gifted children “Tutti”, later the institute of culture - such an education was received by Sasha. After studying, she tried to build a musical career and tried herself as a solo artist, recorded her own album, but could not get into the rotation of the radio stations of her song. Production centers also did not want to collaborate with the young singer. Alexandra decided to start creating musical material for other artists. In the piggy bank of her creations are songs from the repertoire of Kristina Orbakaite, Masha Rasputina, Alla Pugacheva. The girl wrote soundtracks for films, for some time was engaged in producing activities. But all this did not bring due satisfaction.
Team History
In 2009, Alexandra gathered the first staff of the Fruit team, which lasted about two years, but ended up breaking up. There were a lot of reasons for that, among which there were different views of the organizer and group members on the creative development of the team and the philosophy of its existence.
After some time, Dahl formed a group of other members. It was already a new group of “Fruits”. The composition (female vocalists and musicians) was formed thanks to the occasion, and I must say, a very funny occasion. Once, after many years since graduation, Alexandra met children with whom she had not been especially friends once, but studied together. At school, the boys were too flabby, listened to rock, hooligans, and the girl, on the contrary, was a fan of pop music, so very correct and modest, as she herself says, at that time did not even smoke. We met, talked on social networks and decided to jointly participate in one significant event in St. Petersburg. And after this musical experiment, they realized that they were doing something and should continue ...

So everything spun. Later, Anna Korzhenko joined the children, with whom Alexandra had been familiar since childhood, since studying at the Tutti school. Anya is a bright personality, a great vocalist, with charisma and character, although she has a sweet and soft nickname in the collective - Mimi. By the way, for the organizer of the group - Sasha Dahl - also found a playful name. The guys from the team call her Ma. In addition to the girls, two soloists, the group includes talented musicians Alexey Elesin (acoustic guitar), Konstantin Ionochkin (double bass), Diego (percussion, sound noises), Konstantin Kolesonok (saxophone), Mikhail Popov (accordion). Each of them is an individuality, and together they are just an explosion of energy, a kind of modern Bremen musicians.
What is the secret of the band? Why does the band evoke such sympathy, and does its music resonate with the hearts of many fans? Everything is simple. The guys are not like anyone else, they are a breath of fresh air. The chip of the group is in the performance of songs without equipment, for acoustic instruments (Unplugged). This technique allows you to perform at any concert venue - whether it be a living room in an apartment, a restaurant or the stage of the festival - and provides a great opportunity to be with your audience at arm's length, to breathe in unison with one air.
At one time, the idea of ​​creating such a team to Alexander was suggested by her friend, the St. Petersburg restaurateur Aram Mnatsakanov. He once saw something similar in France and set about trying to combine his gastronomic business projects and Alexandra’s musical abilities.
About work, domestic music and fans
At first, the team worked as a carpet group. The musicians did not have their own repertoire, they rehearsed world hits, but they did it masterly, unusual and very talented. They played small concerts in their hometown, and then an offer from Ivan Urgant came from the capital . The showman invited the guys to his program as her musical accompaniment. The background to this turn of events was the repeated meetings of Fruits and Urgant at New Year's cooperatives, where the showman actually noticed.
The guys talentedly write songs, each in their own direction, rehearse a lot and work hard every day. Despite the enormous employment, they find time for communication, often come as invited guests on the air. It is interesting to talk with them on different topics, to learn their vision of a particular problem. In one of the interviews, to the question of what is wrong with the development of modern Russian music, they said that often modern musicians, in their opinion, are overcome by laziness, and the fuss around their own PR prevails over work with musical material. The Elite, Zemfira, Sergey Shnurov and the Leningrad group are called worthy among the most worthy. But the image of his fan is characterized as a person without a certain gender and age, in love with life, pure and naive, like a child.
Significant events in the biography of the group
The debut performance on the big stage was the group’s reporting concert in the Cosmonaut club in September 2011. This can be called the starting point in musical development, the beginning of a long creative career.
Fruits admit that today they have an incredible amount of work. In addition to developing some of their own projects, the musicians take part in charity concerts and events, they are nominees for the Muz-TV music awards and Sobaka.ru magazine's “TOP-50. The most famous people of St. Petersburg ”2015. In 2013, the team represented Russia at the New Wave contest of young talents in Jurmala. The guys say that the workload of your favorite job is a pleasure, but there is practically no time left for personal life. By the way, the girls - the soloists of the group - have not yet got a family, but the guys-musicians are all married, someone has children. Loyal companions patiently wait for their husbands to arrive only on weekends.
A landmark event in the history of the group was the shooting of the first clip of “Fruit” with the name “Moscow-Jam”. As Sasha Dahl (group leader) herself commented on the video, this is a kind of gratitude to the city for welcoming the guys in their arms. The director of the video, Angelina Nikonova, brought to life Alexandra’s ideas, which for a long time had been looking for a suitable person to fulfill this important task, a person with new, unenlightened outlooks on life and fresh ideas. They all worked out.
In March 2015, the premiere of yet another music video for the song “Bali” took place.
Future plans
To date, the most important task of the team is to work on a collection of their own compositions. Author songs are a forward movement, development and creative growth. Moreover, it is not interesting when you are characterized and remembered only as artists re-singing other people's hits. It is exciting to create your own musical story.
