The diagnosis of cervical prolapse is made by gynecologists quite often. The causes of this phenomenon may be different, but they all come down to one problem - loss of elasticity of the muscles of the pelvic floor, as a result of which they lose the ability to fix the female genital organs in the correct position.
The main reason why cervical prolapse occurs is the gestation and childbirth. In the third trimester of pregnancy, the muscles, experiencing the pressure of the growing fetus, relax. And during childbirth, tears of tissues (including muscle ones) often occur, as a result of which they lose their ability to contract and become weakened. This causes the cervix to fall out when it goes beyond the reproductive gap.
Symptoms of the disease in the morning are poorly expressed, but by the evening they begin to increase, especially if a woman spends a lot of time on her legs during the day. Cervical prolapse is accompanied by a feeling of heaviness and even pain in the lumbar region, difficulty urinating and sensation of a foreign body
Treatment with this ailment should be prescribed by an experienced doctor - gynecologist. In no case try to fix the problem yourself.
Often, gynecologists encounter such a phenomenon as the prolapse of the walls of the uterus. The reason for this ailment is the same - weakening of the muscles of the pelvic floor. As a result, the uterus is located below the normal level, but does not protrude from the genital gap.
This disease is observed in 25% of women 30-40 years old, and at an older age one out of every three women is affected by this ailment.
Causes of uterine prolapse.
- Disruptions in the connection of the muscles of the reproductive system with the central nervous system.
- Pelvic organ defects (congenital abnormalities).
- Connective tissue diseases
- Childbirth
Signs of prolapse of the uterus.
Often, patients feel a feeling of pressure in the lower abdomen, pain in the vagina (pulling character) and in the sacrum or lower back, difficulty or increasing the urination process, urinary incontinence (with exertion and stress), bloody discharge may also appear.
Prevention
In order to prevent the prolapse of the uterus, it is recommended to listen to the following recommendations:
- Try not to lift weights and avoid excessive physical exertion.
- Regularly take preventive measures to combat constipation.
- Perform therapeutic exercises.
- Wear a support bandage or use a uterine ring (only as directed by your doctor).
Exercise for the prevention of disease.
- Get on all fours. While breathing in, at the same time raise your right arm up and take your left leg back. With an exhale, return to its original position. Repeat the same steps with your right foot and left hand. Exercise is performed 4-6 times at a slow pace.
- Standing on all fours and breathing in, bend your back and tighten your crotch muscles. Then lower your head, exhale, bend and relax. Repeat the exercise 8-10 times.
- While in the same position, bend your arms at the elbows. While breathing in, raise your straight leg up. With an exhale, return to its original position. Each leg must complete 10 lifts.
Treatment.
If you find yourself having the above symptoms, consult a doctor immediately, as delay may lead to uterine prolapse. In the event that the degree of omission is small, inpatient treatment without surgical intervention is possible.
The choice of treatment depends on a number of circumstances: the level of prolapse of the uterus, the age of the patient, gynecological diseases.
If, for any reason, the operation is contraindicated, the doctor prescribes a pessary and thick tampons that support the uterus in a normal position.
In the case when you can not do without surgery, surgery is performed.
