Anyone who has not served might think that demobilization porridge is a side dish of barley, oatmeal or any other cereal. But everyone who has had a chance to pay a debt to their homeland knows that this is a sweet dish. This simple dish was prepared by many in the army in order to brighten up the soldier's life.
It is not surprising that on the citizen the demobilization porridge, the recipe of which we will consider in this article, has not received much distribution. After all, when there are plenty of more tempting treats around, few will encroach on her. But for such an occasion, such as a meeting with army friends, this dish can be a great option, reminiscent of the infrequent minutes of rest between outfits and tasks.
Original recipe
What is this dish made of in the army? Of course, demobilization porridge can only be prepared from what is easy to obtain. It is easy to guess that the technology is extremely simple.
For cooking, it is enough to break a kilogram of sand or biscuit cookies with your hands, and then pour condensed milk. Of course, you can start the meal immediately, but the demobilization porridge will be much tastier if you let it brew for several hours. They make this dish not too thick; its consistency really should resemble porridge, which can be eaten with a spoon. In a barracks or training ground, this is more practical and convenient than taking pieces of cake made from the same products with your hands.
For beauty and taste
Famous porridge is prepared not only from these products. Pieces of chocolate or fruit jam are often added to the total mass (these products are in the army rations of the IRP). But the bulk are biscuits and condensed milk.
You can use nuts, raisins, boiled condensed milk, condensed cream, or chocolate condensed milk for this recipe. The dairy product βToffeeβ is also suitable, but in case of its use it is worth adding ordinary condensed milk, otherwise the mass will come out too thick.
Cook at home
To get the result that is as close as possible to the original, reminiscent of the harsh army everyday life, use the same products and try to observe proportions. Dembel porridge should be semi-liquid, so that even after insisting it can be spread out on a plate with a spoon, and not cut into pieces with a knife.
One can of condensed milk and a kilogram of shortbread cookies is enough to prepare a relatively small amount of demobel porridge. Therefore, if you plan to treat a large company with this dish, it is worth increasing the number of products.
