Depanthenol (candles)

Depanthenol (suppositories) is a combination agent with pronounced antimicrobial and regenerative properties. Suppositories are used to treat and prevent infectious and inflammatory diseases of both the uterus and the vagina. Among them are the following: exo- and endocirvicitis (including those complicated by ectopia in the cervix), vaginitis, erosion (as part of complex treatment. The drug under consideration is also used to recover from surgical interventions and delivery. This pharmaceutical does not interfere with activity (functional) lactobacilli.

Depanthenol (suppositories). Structure

One suppository contains 100 milligrams of dexpanthenol, 16 milligrams of chlorhexidine bigluconate.

Dexpanthenol is a vitamin of group B. It relieves inflammation and has a regenerating property. In the body, this substance is converted to pantothenic acid. She, in turn, is involved in fat and carbohydrate metabolism, as well as in the synthesis of porphyrins, acetylcholine and glucocorticosteroids. The specified vitamin is involved in the normalization of cellular metabolism, improves the strength of collagen fibers and accelerates mitosis.

The second active substance - chlorhexidine - has antiseptic and antimicrobial properties. It is active against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria (streptococci, staphylococci, enterococci, chlamydia and others), protozoa, yeast-like fungi, dermatophytes. That is why the drug "Depantenol" (candles) retains its healing properties even in the presence of pus, blood, organic substances and secrets.

Each suppository has a weight of 3 grams. The drug is produced in packs of five or ten pieces each.

Depanthenol (suppositories) is used to improve the recovery of the mucous membranes of the vagina and cervix after some destructive types of surgical interventions, including cryodestruction, diathermocoagulation, and laser destruction.

Method of using the medication

Depanthenol (suppositories) (instructions inform about this) is used intravaginally. Immediately before the administration procedure, the suppository is released from the sealed packaging. It is recommended to lay one candle twice a day. The duration of the course of therapy is from seven to ten days. If necessary, treatment can be extended to twenty days.

Cases of overdose in the considered form of the drug are not recorded.

Depanthenol (candles) is contraindicated in patients with individual intolerance to the components that make up its composition.

Use during pregnancy and lactation
