People call potatoes "second bread", and all because no feast is complete without it. There are a lot of recipes for cooking potatoes, and each of them is original in its own way. Potatoes can be cooked, fried, stewed, baked, and as a side dish it goes well with any dishes.

Potato with cheese in the oven

  Baked potatoes with cheese in the oven are very tender and fragrant with crispy crust.

We need: 1.5 kilograms of medium potato, a tablespoon of butter, a clove of garlic, 350 grams of hard cheese, three cups of milk, a half cup of cream, five eggs, half a teaspoon of nutmeg, pepper, salt.

Preparation: First of all, let's deal with potatoes. Remove the peel, rinse thoroughly and cut into thin circles in the shape of a circle. You can use a grater with a special blade for chips. Rub the cheese into a separate cup, preferably on a coarse grater. In a small saucepan, heat the milk, add a clove of garlic, nutmeg, pepper and salt to taste. After a couple of minutes, remove the saucepan from the heat, remove the garlic and leave the milk to cool.

At this time, beat the eggs together with the cream, pour them into milk and mix well. If necessary, you can still salt and pepper. We take the form where the potato with cheese in the oven will be baked, grease it well with butter and spread it with the first layer of a potato mug. Next, sprinkle the potatoes with cheese and pour in the milk mixture. We don’t take the whole mixture, so we still need it for filling the next layers. The second and third layers are repeated in the same way as the previous one, only the third layer of potatoes is covered with cheese and grated butter.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and set the form with potatoes for 1.5 hours. Potatoes with cheese in the oven are served hot.

Microwave Cheese Potato in 10 Minutes

This dish is prepared very quickly and simply, therefore, is well suited as a morning breakfast.

We need: two medium potatoes, a tablespoon of sunflower oil, a slice of cheese, a clove of garlic, pickled cucumber, 50 grams of sour cream.

Preparation: thoroughly rinse the potatoes under running water, grease with sunflower oil, send to the microwave, turn on the highest power and wait four minutes.

While the potatoes are being prepared, we make the filling for it. Grate the cheese on a fine grater, finely chop the cucumber, squeeze the garlic, add sour cream and mix gently. We cut the finished potatoes in half, put the cooked stuffing on each half and put again in the microwave for a few seconds to melt the cheese.
A delicious and hearty breakfast is ready.

Potato with stew in the oven

  Ingredients: one and a half kilograms of potato, a can of beef stew, two heads of onions, a can of mayonnaise, 150 grams of hard cheese, half a pack of butter, salt.
Preparation: lay the peeled potatoes in a pan, fill with water, salt to taste and set to cook on fire. Turn off the pan when the potatoes begin to boil slightly, and knead it with butter.
Chop onion into thin strips, fry on fat from stew to golden color and spread the stew. We divide the potatoes into two parts, one part evenly spread on a pre-greased baking sheet, lay the stew with onions on top and then again the potatoes. Grease the potatoes with mayonnaise and sprinkle with grated cheese. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and bake until a golden crust forms on the surface.

Serve with sauce or vegetable salad.
