That's what kind of vegetable is unlikely to be bored, it's potatoes. There are few people who do not like potato dishes. There is nothing surprising in this: a huge number of methods for preparing this root crop contribute to its popularity. Boiled, fried, baked - these are the most common ways to cook it. What is required from the food composition:

  • 4 potatoes of a decent size. We calculate the amount as follows: 1 potato - one eater.
  • Butter - 100-150 gr.

Potato: preparation

Root crops should be washed using a brush, and then peeled. After that, remove all dark dots from the pulp (eyes) and rinse again. Then cut into slices or cubes.

Take a suitable pan. We put the potato slices in a container and pour cold water so that it covers the root crop by 1 cm. Slightly add salt to the contents of the vessel.

We put slices on the stove. Starting from boiling water with moderate heat, wait 5-7 minutes. We drain the water and leave the potatoes in a strainer or colander. This technique will help get rid of excess fluid: it drains.

Boiled potatoes, baked in the oven, will be ready in 40-50 minutes. We will cook it at 200 degrees. During this time, it will be necessary to turn over the slices once for uniform heating and so that they do not burn. If you wish, you can sprinkle potatoes with aromatic herbs.

  • Potatoes, medium diameter - 6-7 pieces.
  • Cheese (any) - 150-200 gr.
  • Garlic - 7-8 cloves. If garlic is not one of your culinary favorites, do not add it, replace it with other spices.
  • Mayonnaise - 300-400 gr.
  • Salt and spices.

What to do with potatoes

It must be thoroughly washed and conscientiously cleaned, not missing small dark spots in the tubers. The eyes are not good for the body, so always remove them from the potato pulp. We wash the finished tubers again and send to the pan. Pour cold water and salt, as usual we do when cooking vegetables, we wait for the necessary time. In the process, it is important that the liquid does not boil with a key, this can destroy the integrity of the potato tubers. We need beautiful boiled vegetables.

Salt water from the finished potatoes and dry the root crops by placing dishes with potatoes on a plate that has not yet cooled for several seconds. The liquid will escape steam.

Grate all the cheese and send the chips into a deep container. Peel the garlic cloves and push them through the press directly into the cheese. We spread the whole mayonnaise here, after which we mix the components. We give a little time for mixing aromas. After 5-10 minutes, you can proceed to the next stage of cooking.

Cut ready potatoes in half lengthwise. Very generously grease the bottom of the pan or baking tray with any oil (lean or creamy). Set the potatoes with the rounded side at the bottom. The slice should be at the top.

We spread cheese chips with mayonnaise on all halves. On average, one potato should get at least a tablespoon of the mass. Sprinkle, if necessary, pepper and dry herbs.
