The preparation "Aquamaris" describes the instructions for use as a means of moisturizing the nasopharynx and nasal mucosa. The medication is a clear, odorless white liquid with a slightly salty taste.

The drug is approved for use even for newborns (including premature) children.

Medication "Aquamaris" (instructions for use informs) is purified, diluted and sterilized sea water, which is a solution of the following salts: magnesium, chlorides, calcium, carbonates and sodium sulfates.

Medical water is added to sea water to obtain the concentration most suitable for the internal environment of the body.

The drug "Aquamaris", the instructions for use contain this information, goes on sale in plastic bottles equipped with dispensers (sprayers or droppers) and a protective cap. The volume of containers is ten or thirty milliliters. Each bottle is placed in a cardboard box along with the manufacturer's annotation.

The pharmaceutical agent in question can be prescribed both for prophylactic and therapeutic purposes to prevent or eliminate the following diseases of ENT organs :

In addition, the medication is used in the period before and after surgical interventions in cases of surgical treatment of various ENT diseases; if necessary, moisturize the nasal mucosa due to being in highly dusty rooms with smoky, dry or air-conditioned air; in order to soften the secretions to remove them from the nose.

The medicine "Aquamaris", instructions for use indicate this, it can effectively moisturize the mucous membranes of problem areas, cleansing them of microparticles and dust, which prevents the development of allergic reactions. Also, the medication helps to soften the outgoing secretions, activates the functioning of the cilia in the ciliated epithelium and cells that produce normal mucous discharge.

The drug in question has the properties of a standard isotonic saline solution, is able to partially be absorbed through the mucous membranes and does not significantly affect the biochemical processes in the body (since the drug has a low biochemical activity and the doses used are usually insignificant).

The drug "Aquamaris" for children (the instruction gives appropriate instructions) should be instilled or injected into both nostrils. Cotton turunds on which the drug is applied can also be used (they are laid in the nasal passages). The procedure is carried out three times a day.

For patients aged one to seven, a medication in the form of a spray can be used. It is injected into both nostrils alternately one to three times a day.

If the drug is used not for hygienic but for therapeutic purposes, the frequency of therapeutic procedures can be increased by one and a half to two times.

The course of treatment lasts, usually from a week to two. If necessary, therapy can be repeated (after a break of one month).
