Parody comedies have long and firmly entered our lives. Not a single season passes without a traditional example of the genre, sometimes of dubious quality, making fun of the next batch of blockbuster. Often, such tapes become a rolling and spectator disappointment, but there are those that leave a bright mark in the memory of the audience. For example, a parody of "Lethal Weapon" - "Loaded weapon 1", the humor of which you can laugh now. Rating of the painting IMDb: 6.10.

Favorite movie
A parody of the movie "Lethal Weapon" from the director Gene Quintano was not the most successful financially. With a production budget of $ 8,200,000, rental fees amounted to almost $ 28 million. But this makes the picture no less beloved for us. The "loaded weapon" can be considered a peculiar response of the actor Emilio Estevez to his brother - the illustrious brother Charlie Sheen, who shone in the "Hot Heads".
In fact, the tape is a version of โDeadly Weaponsโ, a film that is oversaturated with humor, a film that itself is not particularly distinguished by pathos seriousness. And Gene Quintano repeatedly increases the degree of humor. The director almost exclusively mechanically repeats the most common tricks of bringing to the absurdity of the stamps of the militants of the 90s, significant episodes, familiar plot moves.
In addition, the image of Sergeant Luger can be positioned as one of the underestimated acting works of Samuel L. Jackson. Currently, no one doubts the comedic talent of the performer, but 25 years ago only real fans could see the potential of the future charismatic villain from "Kingsman: Secret Service" in a parody of "Deadly Weapons".
With all its merits, the "loaded weapon" received mixed reviews from critics. On the Rotten Tomatoes website, the feed of 22 reviews has only three positive reviews.
Cameo
Gene Quintano knew how to appeal to the mass audience, he used an effective technique and satiated the parody of "Deadly Weapon" with a lot of cameos. Especially the enthusiasm of the action movie fans was caused by the appearance of the cult film hero John McClain, who wandered into a completely alien film. Film fans know that the script for the third part of Die Hard was concocted from the studio's script, Deadly Weapons, which was rejected by the studio.
Therefore, the Bruce Willis cameo in Charged Weapons 1 was enthusiastically received by the public. In one of the episodes, the villains shoot Jack Colt's beach house, after the explosion, John McClain scrambles out from under the debris and explains to the villains that they were mistaken with the address.
In addition to Bruce Willis, appeared in a parody of "Deadly Weapon" Charlie Sheen with Tim Curry and Whoopi Goldberg.
