He will forever remain in the memory of the 56-year-old. On July 1 of this year, the life of the famous bard in Russia ended in the USA . Sergei Trukhanov, whose biography and the fight against the disease is devoted to this article, was buried on July 16 at the Vostryakovsky cemetery in Moscow. Fans will remember his concerts for a long time, filled with the purity of lines of high poetry and the sincerity of the author's performance.
A little bit about creativity
The artist did not have a professional musical education, but was known precisely as the author of music. In the circle of his colleagues, he called himself a renegade, because he never took up the pen. He was attracted by the high poetry of textbook authors, as he himself called them, authors: M. Lermontov, A. Tarkovsky, I. Brodsky. At the same time, Sergey Trukhanov, whose biography is known only to a narrow circle of people, understood the full responsibility of such a step, since most of the verses had previously been put to music.
He also popularized young poets, whose work seemed interesting to him. Among his talented co-authors are Olga Rodionova and Andrey Chemodanov, Anna Logvinova and Grigory Kruzhkov, Andrey Vasilevsky and Leonid Kostyukov. He actively toured not only in Russia, but also in the USA, Canada, Switzerland and other countries. He often paired with prominent musicians, for example, Bob Amaker (percussion), in the genre of improvisational and spontaneous music.

So, who is Sergey Trukhanov? What sick and why left this world rather early, we will tell a little further.
A native of Moscow, he was born in 1961, on April 18. After graduation, he became a student at the Physics Department of Moscow State University. Like many of his fellow students, he picked up a six-string guitar. And so carried away that he had never left her. For some time he worked as a graphic designer, but soon began to speak in various creative groups, choosing a stage. The first success came to him in 1990, when he became one of the winners of the All-Union competition. It was a gathering of singers in Kiev. Then there were victories at the Grushinsky festival, competitions in Moscow and St. Petersburg ("Petersburg Accord").
Then he began to be invited to the jury, he began to tour the country with success. Not being a media person, the artist did not disclose the details of his personal life. But when Sergei Trukhanov was in trouble, the illness forced him to turn to friends and fans for help. An adult daughter named Lisa assisted him in raising funds.
Deadly diagnosis
Thunder struck in October 2015. During the tour, the artist became ill. Due to a severe headache, he was sent to a hospital, where after an examination it became clear that he had a brain tumor. It was a malignant neoplasm - glioblastoma multiforme. The author and performer began a six-week course of radiation and chemotherapy, but it soon became clear that local doctors did not believe in a positive outcome of the disease, especially at stage IV. Sergei Trukhanov, whose disease progressed, decided to continue treatment in America, where they will test the new drug Nivolumab.
The artist turned to his friends and subscribers on social networks with a request for charity help. For the week of December alone, an amount of $ 65,000 was collected.
US treatment
In April 2016, the artist crossed the US border, notifying friends about it. He was well received at the Columbia hospital, making a significant discount on treatment. The examination itself and the beginning of a stay overseas were encouraging: an MRI scan every two months showed no negative dynamics. In parallel with the chemotherapy course, Sergei Trukhanov, whose disease became public, continued to perform with concerts. He so believed in a happy outcome that in April of the following year he informed his friends about the possibility of meeting and holding several concerts in Moscow. They were scheduled for June as a thank you to your friends for their support. But did not happen.
Sergey continued treatment already in another hospital - Dana-Farber (Boston), but the good attitude was unchanged. Chemotherapy, and droppers were placed once every two weeks, deprived him of curly hair. The photo shows that the performer began to wear a hat, but still hoped for the best.
What did Sergey Trukhanov die from?
He failed to defeat the disease. He passed away on Saturday, July 1. In Russia, the news spread on the 4th. Fans were not ready for such a development. Back in January, he talked about participating in the project "Acoustic Christmas", his song on poems by O. Rodionova was included in the collection of New Year's themes, compiled by K. Arbenin. The day before he released a CD of songs for children, money for which was collected by the whole world. Sergey Trukhanov, whose illness did not deprive him of hope, continued to build creative plans. But they were no longer destined to come true. On July 16, all his fans came to say goodbye to their beloved performer in the cultural center DON (Moscow). And with us remained his work, the value of which will still be appreciated.
