The anti-inflammatory effect of the drug is determined by the properties of the onion extract. This component also reduces allergic reactions. Under the influence of onion extract in keloid scars , a decrease in the growth and reproduction of fibroblast cells is noted. This is due to the suppression of the synthesis and mitosis of matrix extracellular substances (proteoglycans). The component also has a bactericidal effect. Heparin sodium has antiproliferative, anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory effects. Due to the activity of this component, the hydration of tissues increases, which leads to a softening of collagen-containing structures and elements. Acceleration of healing and epithelialization of wound surfaces occurs due to the influence of allantoin. This component also enhances tissue binding of water. Due to the keratolytic effect, tissue permeability to other active ingredients of the drug is increased. Allantoin also helps reduce itching and irritation when scarring.
