The exact date when the puppet theater was opened (Krasnodar) is unknown. In the archives, the first information about it is dated 1939. Therefore, this year is considered to be the time of its foundation. The first director of the theater was S. Pilipenko. The troupe did not have its own building. In 1961, the theater received temporary use.

By the end of the 20th century, the troupe managed to win many professional awards.

In 2004, the director K. Mokhov came to the theater. Thanks to him, the performances became more spectacular and a refined philosophical aesthetics appeared in them. With him, the repertoire expanded significantly. Under Konstantin Mokhov, each performance was accompanied by a full house.

In 2005, the theater building was renovated. Soon the troupe replenished with young talents. The 2012 regional festival brought the theater several awards at once.

Every year in the summer season, artists go on a tour to Anapa to delight vacationers with their creativity.

In 2014, the theater celebrated its 75th anniversary. Two high-profile premieres took place this year: Reed Hat and Dream Games. The latter was set for an adult classroom. He is part of the repertoire today, enjoying great success with young people.
