Braised potato with pork

Pork meat is loved by both adults and children. Today I would like to consider two recipes for cooking second courses from this meat. First, let's talk about pork with potatoes, and the second recipe will be stewed cabbage with pork.

Fatty, fried foods, as you know, are not too good for health, but sometimes you really want meat. What to do if doctors strictly forbidden fried? There is a way out, and it is quite simple - stew with vegetables. This recipe has everything that meat-eaters love so much, but such food will not harm the stomach of those who have digestive problems.

Potato stew with pork is like beer with nuts, one perfectly complements the other. In addition, choosing pork with a low fat content and stewing it with potatoes, you will get a very tasty, almost dietary and very quick to prepare dish.

Potato stew with pork is prepared as follows. We take the pork and, having previously cleaned the meat from the films, carefully wash it. Then, cutting into medium-sized pieces (about 3 cm side), put them in a cauldron and fill it with water. After half an hour, you can drain the water.

We take the cauldron and put lard cut into pieces at the bottom of it, wait until it spreads over the bottom of the cauldron and put the meat there. After a few minutes, when the meat is fried, set the gas under the dishes to a minimum and cover, but not very tightly, with a lid. The meat will drain the juice and stew.

Now you can do the potatoes. We will wash, peel and cut the potatoes into thin (no more than half a centimeter) strips. As soon as the meat in the casserole softens, put the potatoes on top, mix the contents and cover with a lid.

Peel the garlic, chop coarsely and add to the meat and potatoes. It's time to add spices, salt, pepper, mix everything well again, and do not forget about the lid, be sure to cover the cauldron.

At this stage, smells should already spread in your apartment, and most likely even the neighbors on top will know that for dinner you will have potatoes stewed with pork.

And we continue to cook. Peel the carrots and onions, cut them into strips and put in a frying pan for a little stew with butter. When the vegetables are soft, put them in a cauldron with a main course.

Now we intensify the fire, bring the dish to a boil and simmer until cooked. Served potato stew with pork, as the second dish, if you cooked for lunch, or as the main dish, when it comes to dinner.

Ingredients for pork and potatoes: pork - half a kilo, potatoes - half a kilo, carrot, onion, half a head of garlic, 50-60 grams of butter, salt and other seasonings.

Now let's move on to the second recipe.

Braised cabbage with pork is considered a simple recipe, β€œfor the lazy,” for the simple reason that you do not need to be in the kitchen while cooking. In addition, there is no need for spices, and the dish without them turns out to be very tasty and appetizing.

You will need to prepare 700-800 grams of pork, a pound of cabbage and vegetable oil. The sequence of actions is as follows. Cut the meat into large cubes and throw in a cauldron boiling oil. While the meat is fried, cut the cabbage not too finely. When it takes about 15 minutes, you can add cabbage to the meat. Then thoroughly mix all the components, add some water and cover with a lid.

From time to time, you should look under the lid and mix the contents of the cauldron. If it starts to burn, then you need to add some water. When the meat has almost reached readiness, we stop adding liquid, remove the lid and let the steam come out, bring the cabbage to brown. The meat should become very tender, and the cabbage should be sour and soft.
