This beer is popular not only at home. Although the Germans, of course, are famous for their great love and respect for a good foamy drink. Today, almost the whole world knows the beautiful Franciscaner beer. The price of the drink, I must say, is far from the most budgetary, but does this stop real connoisseurs? After all, when it comes to this brand of beer, the money issue fades into the background, giving way to excellent German quality, unique taste and a thick malt aroma.
Old brewery
The brewing workshop, famous for many centuries to come, was founded back in 1363. Excellent German beer was produced there. Some time later he was given the name Franziskaner. In those days, near the brewery there was a Franciscan monastery , the name of which gave the name to the new beer.
In fact, the Order of the Franciscan Brothers has nothing to do with the recipe of the drink. The only information available is that beer barrels were stored in the warehouse of the Franciscan monastery.
Since the fourteenth century, the brewers who worked at the plant have been preoccupied with finding ways that would help them bring the product to perfection. To do this, they had to turn to a variety of technological methods and new inventions. For this purpose, in 1841, production was moved from a noisy center beyond. The new owner of Residenzstrasse was the representative of Spaten, a large company at that time, successfully engaged in the production of beer.
They say that the new broom sweeps in a new way. The changes had only positive results. The new owner turned out to be an excellent manager, and the use of new technologies has significantly reduced costs and launched several new types of beer.
1872 was marked by the fact that the new Franciscaner beer, Ur-Marzen, was presented to the masses at the famous Oktoberfest beer festival . Festival guests praised the quality of the drink, which began the next round in the history of its popularity.
From year to year, the brewery technologists improved and improved the Franciscaner beer, which gave him the opportunity to acquire a huge number of fans. In Bavaria, this drink was presented as a refreshing aromatic beer with persistent foam, with high flavoring characteristics.
When the First World War ended, the Spaten-Franziskaner-Brau Joint Stock Company, which exists to this day, was registered.
Franziskaner hefe-weissbier
In 1964, fans of the company had the opportunity to evaluate another novelty - the Franciscaner Hefe-Weissbier beer. For a while, consumers even drew analogies with champagne - its taste was so unusual and soft. Of course, the quality was at its best. Popular love was unexpected even for those who were engaged in market forecasting. Producers were literally stunned by the success of the new light beer.
Today, the manufacturer enables customers to purchase a 0.5 liter bottle, order a mug of Hefe-Weissbier beer for bottling, or choose an iron can. It is worth mentioning that draft beer is no worse than packaged beer. It is subject to the same quality guarantees. Especially for wholesalers, beer in kegs with a capacity of 10 liters is produced.
Violent activity
In the 1980s, the company established contacts and entered into agreements with new partners. This made it possible to expand the supply of beer outside Bavaria, which was the first step towards national, and then to world fame.
By the end of the 20th century, the company's management decided to engage in large-scale modernization. It implied an impressive investment, and equipment upgrades, and access to new markets. Thanks to these events, by the beginning of the new century, the Franciscaner beer appeared in almost all of Europe. Reviews of fans of this drink were unanimous, regardless of nationalities and languages.
In order to consolidate its leadership in the market, the company management decided to join a major brewery. And serious work began on rebranding.
