Katie Moriarty was born in 1960 in the Bronx, upstate New York, into the family of housewife Katherine and warehouse worker John Moriarty. She is the co-owner of the Mulberry Street pizzeria chain, the first branch of which was opened in the 80s in Los Angeles. But at that time, Katie was already known as an actress, because her career began in 1980.
