Creative personality: what do we know about her?

A creative person is, above all, a gifted individual. People gushing out with stupid ideas and mediocre compositions are called graphomaniacs. In this sense, creativity should go hand in hand with innate qualities. However, talent can be "buried in the ground" if a person is simply lazy, lethargic and indifferent. Therefore, another main feature of the “creator from God” is the huge driving energy, assertiveness and determination. In addition to these two main characteristics, the creative type is also distinguished by other, it would seem, completely opposite features. We will briefly consider them.

The creative personality in the most incomprehensible way combines the qualities of an extrovert and an introvert. It happens that a novelist cannot even connect two words in a small talk. These people like to be alone, in a visible state of rest. Then brilliant ideas are born in their soul. Such people are well acquainted with traditions, but they are always closely within the generally accepted framework. Therefore, in their work they demonstrate discipline and playfulness - in principle, this distinguishes the handwriting of a genius from a craftsman methodically adhering to the rules. Earthly people around notice that the geniuses sense of reality is somewhat blurry. They do not recognize that something is impossible, they will “fight” until they make it real. Some do.

A creative person looks at the world through the eyes of a child. As a rule, she does not recognize stereotypes, including gender. But she is still able to subtly notice the smallest details of the world around her. At the same time, researchers record a risk appetite for such a person , a desire to try everything new and unusual. Perhaps the most amazing paradox of a creative individual is that, once he has been inspired and inspired, he begins to work methodically and pedantically, trying to do his job in the best possible way. In evaluating his results, he is very self-critical and sometimes burns his works, although the public perceives them very favorably.

For a long time it was believed that a creative person is a minion of fate, endowed with a genius, a divine spark. But now modern research has shown that the assertion that a genius is born in a proportion of one in several hundred thousand is just a myth. Some techniques, upbringing and education, as well as the creation of an enabling environment, can enhance individual creative qualities and even make the work team creatively approach their functional responsibilities.

The development of a creative person is, of course, better to start with diapers. As, for example, aesthetic education. If a child is kept “in blinkers” all the time and told him: “you can’t”, “don’t dare”, then, in the end, the parents will achieve the desired result. But these prohibitions will haunt a person all his life, and he will not create anything new, except for blindly following the canons and norms. The rate of development, the plan and the compressed lines of doing work at the root kill the desire to create. It is noticed that when an employee discusses a problem with colleagues, he starts in a new, unusual way to approach the problem being solved. Therefore, managers often use the Brainstorming technique, when all participants, not being afraid to look stupid and despicable, offer all the ways to solve a problem, even the strangest, unconventional and original ones.

The creative person experiences booms and crises. Some of the geniuses wrote, lowering their feet in a basin of cold water, while someone worked only an hour before dawn. Find out what kind of environment is causing you the greatest surge of intellectual strength. Try to approach the solution “from a new line”. Remember, the most important thing is to overcome the fear of “a clean slate”. And, of course, you need to be prepared to work long and hard. Indeed, as Edison said, “a great man is only one percent of a genius, and 99 percent are the consequences of hard labor.”
