In the hustle and bustle of modern life, the faces of Soviet artists who starred in cult films of those times are somehow imperceptibly erased from the memory. They are supplanted by images of Hollywood movie stars and Russian actresses. And it is not surprising, because the actors of Soviet cinema never gave a reason to talk about their personal life, were not seen in scandals. The reason for their discussion was only their professional activity, skill, ability to realize what millions of people would later love them.
Such actresses include Rimma Shorokhova - a magnificent actress, a beauty from the Russian hinterland, who did not dream of a screen, but left a bright mark in the Soviet film industry.
The life path of the actress
The future actress Shorokhova Rimma Ivanovna was born far from the places where the movie was shot. Her homeland is the Kuzino station in the Sverdlovsk region. She was born on 07/07/1926 in a working class family. The dad of the future artist was the engineer of the depot. Soon after the birth of the daughter, the father left the family, and the mother got married again. The stepfather of Rimma Shorokhova was L.P. Bragin, a fairly well-off man at that time, he worked as the head of the municipal economy of the aluminum plant.

In childhood and youth, Rimma Ivanovna did not even think about cinema. She connected her future with the factory where her stepfather worked. The girl’s life was like that of many Soviet people: an eight-year school, which she graduated in 1942, then she continued her studies at the chemical-aluminum technical school in the city of Kamensk. After receiving the profession, Rimma Shorokhova works at the plant as a research technician. Perhaps we would never know the name of a wonderful actress, if not for her decision to dramatically change her life and connect her fate with the cinema. After working at the plant for only one year, she leaves her hometown and leaves for Moscow.
In 1947, Rimma Shorokhova became a student at VGIK; her mentors were the great Yutkevich and Romm. Having graduated brilliantly from the institute in 1951, a young and talented girl receives an invitation to work at Mosfilm.

Anyone who saw her inevitably fell under the influence of her charm and femininity.
The actress made her debut as a nurse in the film Sergei Gerasimov "Country Doctor". All aspiring actors could only dream of working with a great master.

The combat attack pilot who went through the war will later become the recognizable face of Soviet cinema, in his filmography more than 40 roles.
