The drug "Renitek" (in other countries known as "Enalapril") is recommended for use with high blood pressure as a hypotensive agent.
The main active ingredient is enilapril maleate, the mass fraction of which in a tablet can be 5, 10 and 20 mg, depending on the release. The drug is available in blisters for 7 pcs. and 100 pcs. in dark bottles. Depending on the weight of the main active ingredient, the tablets vary in color: white - 5 mg, pink - 10 mg, light pink with a yellowish tone - 20 mg. Otherwise, the appearance of the tablets is similar: they have a triangular shape engraved with the inscription "MSD 712" (white tablets), "MSD 713" (pink tablets) "MSD 714" (light pink color of the tablet) and with a risk on the back. The following ingredients are named as excipients in a Renec tablet, instructions for use: lactose, sodium bicarbonate, corn starch, magnesium stearate, pregelatinized starch, red iron oxide (in a pink tablet) or yellow iron oxide (in a light pink tablet colors).
The drug "Renitek" is prescribed by a doctor in the presence of the following diseases:
- arterial hypertension;
- chronic heart failure ;
- prevention of coronary ischemia.
Before you start taking the drug "Renitek", the instructions for use prescribe a medical examination, which will allow you to adjust the dose of the incoming substance based on the well-being of a particular patient. At the beginning of treatment, the dose of medication should be no more than 10 mg / day. The maximum possible is 40 mg / day. With heart failure, the use of the drug should be started with a dose of no higher than 2.5 mg, in the future it can be increased to 10-20 mg / day. - diuretics, because potassium loss under the influence of "Renitek" is reduced;
- preparations containing lithium. Renec reduces lithium excretion, and lithium intoxication may occur.
Another version of the drug is Co-Renitec. The instruction for its use is similar to the instruction of "Renitek" with the only difference that the composition of "Ko-Renitek" includes hydrochlorothiazide, which has a diuretic effect.
In addition, you should definitely familiarize yourself with possible side effects:
- chest pain, angina pectoris, heart rhythm disturbances;
- dizziness, headache, less commonly sleep disturbances, depression, confusion;
- rarely - nausea, diarrhea, jaundice;
- hoarseness, shortness of breath, shortness of breath;
- decrease in hemoglobin level;
- allergic reactions in the form of rashes, redness, itching.

The shelf life of Renitek is 2.5 years. Store the drug in a dry place at room temperature.
