I saw the Friendship porridge the other day in a store and realized that I hadn’t spoiled my family with this tasty and healthy meal for a long time. Of course, I decided to fix the mistake. I tried to find the Friendship porridge recipe in my notes, but, to my surprise, I found several cooking options at once! And since such a thing, I present to your court all the methods I know for cooking such a dish.
Milk porridge "Friendship"
Druzhba porridge in milk is prepared with this ratio of products: for 1 glass of cereal (millet and rice mixed in equal proportions) we measure 5 glasses of milk. Thoroughly rinsing the product under running water, put it in a pan. Pour in milk and add a little salt and sugar to taste. We put the pan on the stove, turn on the fire and wait for it to boil. After that, we detect it for 20 minutes and leave the porridge to boil over low heat. The finished dish can be seasoned with ghee or butter.
Friendship porridge in the multicooker
In a slow cooker, such porridge can also be prepared. How? Cooking porridge "Friendship" will begin with the preparation of millet and rice. We wash one multi-glass of mixed cereals and leave in a colander, giving the opportunity to drain excess water. Then we shift into a multicooker and season with seasonings (salt, granulated sugar). Pour the cereal with milk (5 multi-glasses). Gently mix the ingredients, close the lid of the electronic pan and set the program "Porridge" for 1 hour.
Friendship porridge with pumpkin and dried fruits
A very unusual combination of millet, rice cereal, dried apricots and pumpkin. It is this recipe for Friendship porridge that is my favorite. Cereals and fruit and vegetable additives will be prepared separately. Pour rice and millet in a measuring cup to the level of 250 grams. The resulting amount of cereals is sent under running water, after which we put it in a pan and pour 600 ml of water. Salt, put the pot with this mass on the stove. Cook porridge over low heat until the water boils incompletely (about 10 minutes). In another pan, lay the diced pumpkin (200 grams) and chopped dried apricots (70 grams). Pour the milk products (600 ml) and boil over low heat for 10-12 minutes. We put the cooked porridge into a pot with pumpkin and keep it on fire for another 10 minutes. You can use butter, sugar, jam, honey or jam to dress the finished meal.
Chicken Egg Porridge
Now in the Friendship porridge recipe we’ll introduce a new ingredient - a chicken egg. This will allow us to give the dish a new interesting taste. We proceed as follows: we take 50 grams of washed rice and millet and put it in a pan. Pour 300 ml of milk and 50 ml of cold water. We put the pan on the stove and add a little salt and granulated sugar. Cook porridge over low heat for about 50-60 minutes. Then turn off the burner and introduce a spoonful of butter and beaten egg yolk. Knead and covered with a lid, let it brew for 2-4 minutes.
Friendship porridge in the oven
Having tried all the possible options for preparing rice and millet dishes, we can still use the Friendship porridge recipe in the oven. Here we act like this: measure out one and a half glasses of cereals and, washing, put in boiled water (2 glasses). Salting, cook for 20 minutes over low heat. Then we heat a liter of milk in a cauldron, put boiled porridge, sugar and butter (to taste) into it. Without covering, send to the oven (250 degrees) for 20-30 minutes.
