Bonaparte Salad is an inexpensive, but very tasty dish that can be made both for a festive and ordinary dining table. It should be noted that today there are several ways to prepare such a culinary creation. We decided to present only the classic version using chicken breasts, mushrooms and other ingredients.

Before proceeding with the preparation of such a salad, it is necessary to purchase and properly process the following ingredients:
- medium-sized fresh champignons - 500 g;
- chilled chicken fillet - 500 g;
- large fresh carrots - 3 pcs.;
- hard cheese (any) - 250 g;
- large chicken eggs (pre-boiled hard boiled) - 4 pcs.;
- medium potato tubers - 2 pcs.;
- sweet bulbs red - 2 pcs.;
- fat mayonnaise (it is better to take sour cream) - 400 g;
- table salt, fresh herbs (parsley), ground allspice - add to taste and personal discretion;
- sunflower oil (preferably odorless) - 35-55 ml (for frying).
Processing basic ingredients
Bonaparte salad is hearty and tasty due to the fact that such products as boiled meat and fried mushrooms are used for its preparation. And before proceeding to the design of this dish, it is necessary to process the presented ingredients well. To do this, wash the chicken breasts and boil them in salt water, then cool, clean them of bones and skin, and then chop them into small cubes. As for fresh champignons, they should be cut along the plates and fry along with salt, pepper and vegetable oil until a golden crust appears.
In addition to these components, Bonaparte salad includes various vegetables. To do this, thoroughly wash the potatoes and carrots (using an iron brush), and then boil them in their uniforms, cool and thinly peel them. Next, the vegetables must be grated on a coarse grater. Similarly, it is recommended to do with hard-boiled chicken eggs, as well as hard cheese of any kind. In addition, fresh red onion heads should be cleaned and chopped very finely.
The process of forming a dish
To beautifully decorate the Bonaparte salad for the festive table, we need a not very deep, but large in diameter plate. It is in it that all previously processed ingredients should be laid out in layers.
Thus, at the bottom of the dishes, it is necessary to place a layer of boiled potatoes, and then fried champignons, which are desirable to cover with a thin mesh of mayonnaise. Next, lay out pieces of chicken, fresh onions and grated carrots. After that, all the ingredients should be flavored again with a small amount of mayonnaise. In conclusion, the salad must be covered with boiled eggs. This product must be greased in the same way with fat mayonnaise.
To make this dish more beautiful and it can be safely presented to the festive table, it is recommended to use finely grated cheese as the last layer. Next, the dairy product must be decorated with the petals of fresh parsley or whole olives (olives).
