Lentils have unique properties that make this product a welcome guest on every table. It contains vegetable protein, which is almost completely absorbed by the body. Lentils are a record holder for folic acid. One serving of lentil porridge provides the body with folic acid by as much as 90%. It is useful for normalizing the functioning of the intestine, and for strengthening immunity. In our article we will tell you how to cook lentils with mushrooms. The recipes offered in it allow you to cook delicious dishes from different types of beans. Each of them is unique in its own way.
Red lentils with mushrooms and spinach
Red lentils are already peeled, so it is cooked very quickly and is ideal for cooking vegetable stews, cream soups and mashed potatoes.
According to our recipe, lentils with mushrooms are ideal for vegetarian cuisine and allow you to diversify the menu in the post. Cooking is carried out in the following sequence:
- In a deep frying pan, a tablespoon of vegetable oil is heated. Then a teaspoon of thyme seeds is added to it. As soon as a spicy aroma appears in the air, chopped garlic, onions, grated ginger (1 tablespoon) and chopped green chilli can be put in the pan. As soon as the onions become soft, mushrooms (200 g) are added to the vegetables. Vegetables are fried until cooked.
- Lentils (200 g) are removed from small debris, washed and dried on a towel. Once the vegetable mixture is ready, it is poured into the pan and poured with broth (375 ml) and water (125 ml). Beans are stewed for about 10 minutes or until the liquid evaporates.
- Last of all, fresh spinach (250 g), salt and a mixture of Indian spices garam masala (½ teaspoon) are added to the dish. Lentils with vegetables are mixed and served on the table.
Green Lentil Recipe with Mushrooms and Onions
Green lentils are the most healthy and are unripe beans. It is more suitable than others for preparing side dishes and adding to salads.
Lentils with mushrooms are prepared as follows:
- Green lentils (1 tbsp.) Are removed from the garbage, washed in a colander under running water and transferred to a pan. Now the beans need to pour cold water (1½ tbsp.), Bring to a boil, reduce heat to a minimum and cook like porridge for 45 minutes. As soon as the water is absorbed, it can be assumed that the beans are cooked.
- Meanwhile, the onion is cut into half rings and fried in a pan with vegetable oil. Once it becomes soft, chopped mushrooms (200 g) can be added.
- Lentils are transferred to a pan for onions and mushrooms and mixed.
Lentil and mushroom stew
Brown lentils are the most common. Usually it is soaked overnight or even for a day.
Lentils with mushrooms in the form of stew is prepared in the following sequence:
- First, vegetables diced in a deep frying pan in vegetable oil are fried: mushrooms (300 g), garlic, onions, carrots and bell peppers.
- After 20 minutes, tomatoes (500 g), brown lentils soaked overnight, 1 tbsp. And water (2 tbsp.) Are added to the vegetables in a blender. The following spices are poured: oregano (2 teaspoons), salt (½ teaspoon), a little black and red pepper. After 25 minutes, fresh basil is added to the finished dish.
- Lentil and mushroom stew served with spaghetti.
Multicooking Recipe
Very quickly and simply the dish is cooked in a slow cooker. To do this, first onion, carrots and mushrooms are fried on frying or baking. Then, washed green lentils and finely chopped garlic are added to give the dish a unique flavor. Water is poured next (1 tbsp. Beans 1½ tbsp. Liquid). To cook the beans, the "Porridge" or "Stew" mode is selected. Cooking time is approximately 30 minutes.
