Hydrogen peroxide for the face: benefits and harms

Hydrogen peroxide in cosmetology is used due to its antibacterial and disinfectant properties. It is sold over the counter at any pharmacy. This tool is simply indispensable for whitening and cleaning the skin, dyeing hair, treating wounds and inflammations.

Hydrogen peroxide for the face is an affordable, simple and effective tool that will help get rid of unpleasant oily sheen or acne. It also tightens pores, cleanses and disinfects.

However, this drug is not as safe as it seems at first glance. Hydrogen peroxide for the face is a powerful antioxidant and can cause serious allergic reactions. A highly concentrated solution of this substance leads to the appearance of burns and the death of healthy skin cells. This is precisely the disadvantage of such a simple and effective tool.

The main thing is to know how to properly use hydrogen peroxide for the face. Here are some simple tips:

1. It is necessary to apply the drug pointwise and in no case do not spread it over the entire surface of the face. The only exception is really problematic skin with a lot of rashes.

2. Use this product in a minimum concentration (three percent). And even such a weak solution can still be diluted with water, since the main task is not only to help the body cope with unpleasant rashes, but also not to harm health.

Recipes for preparing special cleansing compounds for problem skin:

- Dilute one tablespoon of shaving cream in fifty milliliters of clean boiled water. Then add five milliliters of camphor and the same amount of ammonia. Three to four milliliters of hydrogen peroxide should be poured into the resulting mass and mix thoroughly. This tool is recommended to be applied strictly along the lines of massage, trying to avoid the area around the eyes and mouth. After ten to fifteen minutes, the lotion must be washed off the face using warm running water. Such a mask can be applied no more than twice a week.

- Add in one tablespoon of cream or fat cottage cheese five drops of hydrogen peroxide and the beaten yolk of one egg. The above components must be mixed to obtain a mass of uniform consistency. This mask should be applied to problem areas of the skin with a thin layer, using a clean gauze napkin. It should also be kept for ten to fifteen minutes, and then washed off with warm water. Hydrogen peroxide for the face is contained in this product in a minimal amount, which is why it can be used to care for normal and combination skin. The curd mask with hydrogen peroxide has whitening, nourishing and cleansing properties.

Effective hydrogen peroxide from black dots. To prepare a therapeutic agent, you can mix this drug (three percent concentration) with baby powder and apply once a day for half an hour. The result will be noticeable in a week.

Oily skin covered with black dots can be cleaned as follows: moisten a cotton swab in hydrogen peroxide, and then soap it with baby soap, then dip it into a dry mixture made from baking soda and coarse rock salt in equal proportions. Rub this product into problem areas with cautious massage movements. Such a mask should be kept on the skin for at least fifteen minutes, then rinse off first with warm and then cold water. It should be remembered that applying such an ointment to the skin around the mouth and eyes is highly undesirable. The key to the success of the fight against inflammation is the regular conduct of the above procedures.
