Biography
Shakirova Tamara Halimovna was born on November 26, 1955 in Tashkent (Uzbekistan). As an eighth grade student, Tamara often went to the Uzbekfilm film studio, as she loved the movie, including watching how it was created. During the filming of the film “Blind Rain,” director Anatoly Kabulov noticed her: the young actress, who was supposed to play the small role of a student passing the exam, forgot all the words, and Kabulov turned to Tamara for help. He recalled her as a "thin big-eyed girl with tight black braids," who readily agreed to play in the episode. Tamara did it perfectly, from the first take doing what was required of her. So began the acquaintance of the future actress with cinema.
Early work
In 1971, after episodic roles in several films, Tamara Shakirova played her first serious role in Ali Hamraev’s film “Without Fear”, which tells about an Uzbek village in the early twentieth century. The heroine of Tamara is the girl of Gulsara, who is fighting the old regime for her rights given to her by the revolution. This role made the star of "Uzbekfilm" from the beginning actress. After leaving school in 1972, Tamara immediately enrolled in the staff of the film studio. Simultaneously with the filming, the girl received a correspondence acting education at the Ostrovsky Tashkent Theater Institute from 1974 to 1976. In the period of the 70s, the young actress starred in more than ten films, playing the same roles of oriental girls and girls, masterful and courageous, leading the struggle for independence.
Serious roles
Director Shukhrat Abbasov helped Tamara Shakirova get out of this role by inviting her to his multi-part film "Fire Roads", which tells about the life of the Uzbek poet and revolutionary Khamza Hakimzade Niyazi. Tamara played the role of Yulduzkhon, the involuntary wife of a wealthy merchant, secretly in love with the main character Hamza. Seventeen episodes of the film were released from 1978 to 1984. Tamara began filming a 23-year-old girl, and ended them already a 30-year-old woman. Tamara herself admitted that these shootings made her a real actress. The duration of the story allowed her to fully experience her character and reveal her full dramatic potential.
Along with filming in the series, Tamara Shakirova continued to act in ordinary films. In 1980, the film "Leningraders, my children" was released, and in 1981 - "Unruly", for the roles in which the actress was awarded the Hamza State Prize in the Uzbek SSR. In addition to the works shot at Uzbekfilm, Tamara Shakirova’s filmography contains paintings of Russian, Tajik, Azerbaijani and German origin. Throughout her career, the Uzbek actress starred in more than forty films, in 1983 she was awarded the Prize of the Honored Artist of the Uzbek SSR. The last film with the participation of Shakirova was the picture "Charming Baby with a Golden Heart", released in 1998.
Personal life
Tamara Shakirova was married to the Uzbek actor Otabek Ganiev, in 1978, the daughters Raikhon and Nasiba were born to the couple. Raikhon Ganieva followed in the footsteps of her parents - she is a popular singer and honored artist of Uzbekistan.
It is not known why the actress decided to leave the cinema at the age of 42. Someone believes that she already had cancer, which progressed very slowly, but maybe she was just tired and decided to devote her life to the family - she attended every concert of her daughter Rayhon and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Tamara Shakirova died on February 22, 2012 at the age of 56.
