Lenten meatballs: lentils, pearl barley and much more

A large number of lean and vegetarian cutlets can be prepared from cereals, peas and vegetables. They are made very quickly and easily, and not only adults, but children can please. Cutlets from lentils, buckwheat, peas, rice - everyone will find their favorite dish.

Buckwheat cutlets

You can cook vegetarian buckwheat cutlets by taking cereals (200 g), dried mushrooms, a head of onion, a slice of white bread, 4 eggs (it is better to separate the proteins from the yolks in advance), milk and breadcrumbs for breading. First, boil the buckwheat porridge, and then cool it. Shredded mushrooms and onions are roasted in a pan. All this is added to the porridge. Bread that is soaked in milk in advance also goes there. 4 yolks are driven into buckwheat stuffing. Everything is thoroughly mixed, and then patties are formed. First they are rolled in whipped protein, and then in breadcrumbs. You can fry the dish in vegetable oil, and serve best on a plate decorated with lettuce.

Lentil cutlets

You can surprise your home if you cook very hearty lentil patties for them. To do this, take a glass of lentils, half a glass of wheat (preferably fine), 3 cups of boiling water, a bunch of dill, green onions, red pepper, salt, a little dry mint, 2 heads of onion, half a packet of butter and a half tablespoon of tomato paste.

Lentils are poured with boiling water in a saucepan. It needs to be boiled to a state of porridge. Only then wheat is added to it. So the future mince has to be infused for half an hour. In the meantime, you can chop the onion and fry it in oil. Tomato paste is added there. All greens are finely chopped. Absolutely all prepared ingredients are mixed with porridge.

Cutlets are formed from the resulting mincemeat, which are sent to the pan. They must be thoroughly fried. Serve lentil cutlets with sliced โ€‹โ€‹vegetables.

Pea cutlets

Original cutlets are obtained if they are made from peas. Take half a head of garlic, 2 onion heads, a glass of peas, half a glass of flour, a little black pepper, 2 eggs, breadcrumbs and vegetable oil. First, peas are soaked in water for about a night. Only then can it be welded. Then everything is quite simple. Peas and garlic are passed through a meat grinder. Chopped and fried onions, as well as all remaining ingredients, with the exception of butter and crackers, are added to the minced meat. Cutlets are made from pea mix, bread in breadcrumbs and fried in oil. Before putting the dish on the table, it is best to pour it with fresh sour cream.

Barley cutlets

Lush and tender cutlets are obtained from pearl barley. Moreover, home or guests will be very surprised to learn the secret of their preparation. You need to take 100 g of pearl barley, a head of onion, an egg, basic seasonings, flour and vegetable oil. To quickly cook meatballs, which sometimes even taste different from meat, you need to soak pearl barley in the cold water for the whole night in advance. Then it will be enough to boil. This will take a maximum of 25 minutes. The finished cereal is twisted using a meat grinder. Chop the onion very finely and add it to the minced meat. The egg and seasonings get there. From the mass make beautiful and neat cutlets or meatballs in the form of balls. They fall off in flour and fry in butter until they turn golden.

Rice cutlets for children

It is quick and easy to make a favorite treat for a children's table, but it turns out not only original, but also very useful for a growing organism. You only need a glass of rice, 3 apples (sweet, of course, better), an egg, small crackers, butter, a spoonful of sugar, 3 tablespoons sour cream and salt. To start, porridge is cooked from cereals. Once it is cooked, the rice is cooled. Apples are chopped on a fine grater and combined with porridge. Sugar, salt and an egg fall here. Everything is thoroughly mixed.

Cutlets are made from the resulting stuffing. They are breaded in breadcrumbs and sent to fry in a pan in oil. Unusual cutlets with sour cream go well.
