Homemade pie does not have to be sweet. In addition to the filling of jam, fruits, condensed milk and cream, you can fill it with more satisfying foods. For example, a pie can be vegetable, stuffed with potatoes, zucchini, eggplant, peppers and so on. One of its types includes rice and minced meat. Such recipes allow you to cook not only something tasty, but also satisfying.
Pie with minced meat and rice
Dough:
- Yeast - fifteen grams.
- Margarine - one hundred and fifty grams.

Cooking method
Homemade pie with minced meat and rice is a delicious and satisfying pastry, which can replace a full dinner. Neither adults nor children will refuse a piece of a tender pie with a cup of their favorite drink. In our recipe for the pie with minced meat and rice, you first need to prepare the filling, and then proceed to the test. Remove debris, spoiled grains from rice, rinse it well four to five times. Then pour the rice with water and put on the stove. You need to cook it only until half-cooked, but fully cooked cereal will do. After cooking, put the rice in a colander and leave it there to drain water.
Next, for the pie with minced meat and rice, you need to prepare the minced meat. The most delicious is obtained from two types of meat: pork and beef, mixed in equal amounts. But the proportions can be changed at will. After the onions are peeled, washed and chopped, place it in a hot pan and fry in oil until it becomes transparent. Then add minced meat, salt and pepper. Stir the onion and minced meat and fry them together for another fifteen minutes.
During this time, you still need to cook chicken eggs. Pour them with cold water and after boiling leave it on fire for another eight minutes. Then cool and chop finely. The edges of the lower and upper layers of the dough are well connected and pinched together. Break one egg into a mug, add a pinch of salt and beat with a fork.
