It should be noted that in translation from English Spoiler is a hindrance or damage. Therefore, a girl very often accidentally justifies a nickname, rather interfering than helping the forces of good. Stephanie and Tim started dating. However, they soon had to leave for a certain time, as Tim leaves to study. Stephanie discovers that she became pregnant from a past boyfriend. She could not leave the child, so she gave him up for adoption.

Tim left Robin's post according to the will of his father, who did not want his son to take risks of his own free will. As a result, Stephanie Brown took over the powers of the new fourth Robin. However, she did not manage to hold out for long at the post. As Stephanie breaks the rules, Batman orders her to abandon Robin's mantle. She returns to the role of Spoiler and wants to return Batman's good disposition, but fails the task, after which she becomes a captive of the Black Mask. Stephanie dies from torture.

Later it turns out that this is not true. After a while, Batman and Robin meet a stranger in the old Spoiler suit. As a result, they catch her. It turns out that this is Stephanie, and her death was falsified by Leslie Tompkins. After the apparent death of Batman, Cassandra gives Stephanie Brown the Batgirl mantle. In the comics that are dedicated to this character, very controversial topics are often raised, which caused a number of critical reviews. Note that Stephanie's friend Tim Drake from 1989 to 2009 wore the pseudonym Robin and was the partner of Batman, the third in a row. The character first appeared in Batman comic book number 436. Drake took the pseudonym Red Robin. Subsequently, the DC Comics universe was restarted and a series of changes occurred.
