Emoxipin (eye drops) is an angioprotector. The drug reduces the permeability of the vessel wall, platelet aggregation and blood viscosity. Eye drops "Emoksipin" are an antioxidant, antihypoxant and inhibit the processes of free radicals. The drug, possessing retinoprotective properties, protects the retina from the damaging effects of intense light, improves microcirculation, and promotes resorption of hemorrhages inside the eye.
The tool "Emoksipin" describes the instructions as a universal stabilizer of membrane structures in the retina. The medication is able to protect the retina from hyperbaric oxygenation (the use of oxygen under high pressure), to prevent the development of functional disorders due to hemorrhages inside the organ of vision.
The drug increases the resistance (resistance) of red blood cells to hemolysis (decay) and mechanical trauma, lowers the overall coagulation index, enhances the process of dissolution of blood clots (fibrinolysis), increases the time for blood coagulation.
When using Emoxipin, the active ingredient in a biologically active amount does not enter the systemic circulation. A single instillation allows you to achieve a therapeutic concentration in the tissues of the eye. Accumulation in organs and tissues does not occur. After application in the first two hours in the blood, the concentration of the drug decreases very quickly, and after twenty-four hours the medication is completely absent in it.
Emoxipin Instruction Indications
The drug is prescribed for the prevention and treatment of burns and inflammations in the cornea, hemorrhages in the anterior ocular chamber. The medication is also indicated for high myopia (myopia), accompanied by dystrophic changes in the retina. The drug "Emoksipin" instruction allows for use in diabetic retinopathy. The medication is also used when using contact lenses to protect the cornea, when exposed to intense light to protect the retina (with laser coagulation, laser and sunburn).
The drug is contraindicated for use during gestation, with individual intolerance. There is not enough data on the use of the drug for lactation, you should consult a doctor.
Emoxipin Instructions for use
The drug is intended for instillation (instillation) of one or two drops in the conjunctival sac two or three times a day. Repeated therapy, if necessary, is carried out after four to six months.
The use of Emoxipin can cause short-term conjunctival hyperemia, itching, burning. In rare cases, allergic reactions (local) are noted. As a rule, side effects are short-term and are not a reason for the cancellation of the medication. However, with persistent negative effects, it is necessary to stop using Emoxipine and consult a doctor.

Many patients report a good tolerance to the drug. The medication does not affect the ability to concentrate attention, the speed of psychomotor reactions, manage transport and work with mechanisms.
