The beginning of the way
The first volumes of Patricia Rice’s books “The First Kiss of Love” (1984) and “Night Delights” (1985) were hand-written on paper with a pen in 1980, and then printed on the ancient electric Underwood with a broken S button. After the writer sold the book Madam the Witch (1986), she bought a Smith-Corona typewriter with a built-in erase mechanism.
Her first old Leading Edge computer was haunting and continued to lose precious words, so she continued to write by hand for years.
Biography
Patricia Rice is married to her school love and has two children. Born in New York and raised in Kentucky, she now resides in St. Louis, Missouri. She is a member of the Romance Writers of America, the Authors Guild and Novelists Inc., as well as numerous professional accounting organizations and local charities.
