Roman Gromadsky: childhood and youth
The actor was born in St. Petersburg (at that time Leningrad) a year before the Great Patriotic War - December 18, 1940. In difficult times, the family of our hero was unable to get out of the besieged city. They survived only thanks to the help of their father, who fought near Leningrad. Fortunately, he could share army ration with his close people. But, despite all the efforts, like many children of that time, little Roman for a long time suffered from rickets. This disease affected almost every family.
After the USSR emerged victorious from the war, Roman was able to go to school. He sought to gain knowledge, but graduated from only 5 classes. After that, he had to go to the service.
But upon returning from the army, he immediately set off to realize his childhood dream. After all, Gromadsky always wanted to be an actor. In 1962, Roman entered the Institute of Theater in Leningrad, which today is called SPbGATI (St. Petersburg State Academy of Theater and Art). Thus, the beginning of a long and difficult path was laid.

He did not immediately appreciate the hero of our article - Gromadsky. At first, the actor was not easy, and his career had a winding path. In this film, he played the secretary of the regional committee of Leningrad. He was called to the role because of an impressive resemblance to a real person, Kuznetsov. Roman Gromadsky: personal life
At the end of the first year, the actor had a young wife Vera Gromadskaya. Roman took the name of his beloved woman, because fellow students convinced him that she was very suitable for him, since he was a very tall and large man. In addition, his real name - Vladimirov - was too simple and not sonorous for acting.
The wife gave birth to Gromadsky son. But her life was tragically cut short - 4 days after the birth of Vera died. After such a loss, Roman did not have a woman for a long time, and his son remained the only child.
To date, the actor has two more grandchildren. Roman Borisovich also has a dog that he loves very much - Tyapa, Yorkshire Terrier.
Colleagues and friends of Gromadsky attributed to him a connection with Rosa Sirota, who was at that time the director. But the actor claims that these are unsubstantiated rumors. He was very fond of Rosa as a friend and often consulted with her on many issues about the theater and about life. But love feelings, according to the actor, were not on both sides.

According to him, such a rhythm of life does not bore him, but rather, makes it possible to feel like a successful person. To date, Roman Gromadsky is the leading actor of this theater.
Our hero is still not averse to acting in films, so sometimes he can be seen in small paintings. But the main thing for him is the theater. Without roles in the performances, Gromadsky feels out of work. He is very homesick without a theatrical play. Therefore, the actor still remains at the forefront in one of the largest theaters in St. Petersburg. And we, the audience, have the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful game of our beloved artist.
If a person has ever had the opportunity to watch a production in a theater, he will never forget this atmosphere. Many viewers believe that this can not be compared with watching a movie.
