early years
Flo Ryde (real name Tramar Dillard) was born September 16, 1979 in Carol City, Florida. The sisters of the future musician sang in the local church choir and masterfully performed gospels.
In his teens Flo thought little about studying, he was interested in music. The guy participated in tours of group 2 Live Crew. During his travels with the musical group, Ryda was inspired to create his own band. Gathered his friends and named the group The Groundhoggz (translated as "woodchucks").
Most recording studios said no to novice stars, so Flo Ryde was forced to look for something outside the musical realm. The young man studied at the same time in two higher educational institutions: Las Vegas (where he participated in basketball games) and Barry. And after a couple of months, the rapper's life changed after an unexpected call from the guys from the Poe Boy Entertainment label.
Career
The debut album Mail on Sunday was released in early spring 2008. The first single Low became the soundtrack for the film "Step Forward 2", took first place on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The record was a successful start on Flo's musical path, because after that there were offers for interesting collaborations with other artists, including Madonna, Jessica Mauba, Sia et al.
The world heard the second ROOTS album on March 21, 2009. The first song with Kesha Right Round blew up all the radio stations. In the first week, more than half a million copies were sold.
