The legendary Russian rap group Center again decided to please its fans. Several years have passed after the musicians completed their joint activities and set off for free swimming. Each of the performers of the Center group began their solo career. In those days, not all fans understood the reasons for the breakup of the group. But today the "Center" again appears before us in full force.
The history of the founding of the group
Initially, the team had a different name. The biography of the Center group is very eventful. Its creators were Alexei Dolmatov and Roma, a Russian rap artist. In the 2000s, musicians came up with the name Rolexx. And so it was until 2004. After Alex and Roma decided to rename the group, and it became known as the "Center". Guf (Alexey Dolmatov) and Principle are considered its first creators. The musicians recorded one of their first albums, titled Gift. It was an action for the closest and dearest people. The circulation of albums totaled only thirty copies. And they all quickly dispersed.
In the album “Gift” there was a symbolic number of tracks - thirteen. Literally a year later, musicians perform at a concert. Also at this time, the composition of the Center group is replenished with two new performers. They came from other groups. Ptaha was in the Les Miserables group, and Slim was in the Smoke Screen. But such a composition did not last long. The principle left the group due to problems with the law. He received a prison sentence. This incident introduced the musicians into a trance, and they suspended their work for a year.
The composition of the “Center” group
The “Center” group is not just some ordinary collective that reads the text to the music. The guys entered the world history of the rap industry. They were able in a short period of time to strengthen their position and put the tracks on drugs to a high level. The uniqueness of the group lies in the fact that all musicians read about everyday life and their lives, are not afraid to talk about what they use and what problems they follow. The composition of the group changed several times, but all those who took part in it made a very big contribution to the development of the team.

Centr is a rap group from Moscow. The Principle team was the first to leave for well-known reasons. After the composition and left Guf. An interesting fact is that Alexey Dolmatov took the pseudonym Guf after the formation of the team. Prior to that, it was called Rolexx.
Group's swift career
After the release of the first album in a new composition, together with Guf, Ptah and Slim, the group's popularity began to increase. Musicians began to be invited to concerts. The composition “Heat 77” became the soundtrack to the film “Heat”, where such famous actors as Arthur Smolyaninov, Aleksey Chadov, Konstantin Kryukov and Timati were shot. Also in the episodic role was played by Ptah. In the film, he is a thief who often cranks out scams, as well as the husband of the beloved girl of the protagonist.
After the release of the first work, the second one to the film “Shadow Fight-2” followed. This soundtrack is famous for being written on Basta's composition “My Game”. Not only Guf, but also Basta took part in its creation. A swift career gave the musicians the opportunity and the impetus to create their own label CAO Records. Some performers did not like such a rapid rise of their colleagues on the stage. Conflicts began, especially on the grounds that the name of the group was already copyrighted. For these reasons, the guys decided to rename the team to CENTR.
"Center" - a group, biography, reviews and creativity which were mixed. Many people adopted the new name, but there were those who for a long time could not get used to. The highlight of the team was that Guf and Ptaha have speech defects. This became their peculiar feature in the hip-hop world. So, Guf burrs and does not pronounce a certain letter, and Ptah lisps.
"Swing" and showdown
After CAO Records was created, artists begin to record new tracks. So, in 2008 the album “Swing” was released. He becomes famous from the first days. Its circulation is more than twenty thousand copies. Also on this album was a track called “About Love”. He was marked by the fact that the bird in it offends the rap artist from Germany. This moment is very hooked opponent, so soon followed by a corresponding reaction to the insult.
Further, video works were released on both sides, where both performers try to prove their case, while telling not very flattering stories about each other. So, a rapper from Germany spoke out about the CENTR group, noting that they are promoting drugs. But this has not changed anything in the life of musicians, they also read and compose texts about their life, about what can be changed and what cannot.
Solo career
In 2009, one of its founders, Aleksey Dolmatov, left the Center group. Everything happens swiftly and unexpectedly. By the end of the year, participants are already recording tracks individually. None of the musicians really could explain to his fans why Guf left. There were a lot of assumptions and myths. Only after a while Slim tells us that they are just tired of each other. After all, the schedule of rap artists was very busy, they practically did not rest. And all this greatly affects the relationship in the team.
Guf took up a solo career and released his second album, entitled Homes. The composition of Army Group Center remained only with Slim and Ptah. They toured together and completed the single “About Love”. It is noteworthy that the musicians signed a contract with the label and had to shoot a clip for the song "Is it Easy to Be Young". The clip was still shot, only all three performers were shot in different places and at different times. Slim and Ptah no longer intersected with Guf.
Alexey Dolmatov: life and work
Alex began to engage in rap since the age of 19. He lived with his grandmother in Moscow and decided to create a group. Before he took the pseudonym Guf, a lot of time passed. In Moscow, Alexey was originally famous under the name Rolexx. His first composition, entitled The Wall of China, was created in collaboration with rapper aka Marlin. After the world could see the talented musician, Guf began to take off. The creation of the Center group took place in the 2000s, at the same time Alexey met his future wife.
The love story began with a nightclub, where they first met. Beloved Guf was called Aiza. She was the daughter of a FSB general. Everything spun very quickly, and the young people got married. Then followed the birth of a child. But apparently, the stars were not on their side, and the couple soon dispersed. Isa married a surfer. In 2013, Alexei is experiencing a personal tragedy - the loss of his grandmother. She is dying of a heart attack.
Group Center: composition after return
In 2015, the Center group decides to reunite. Their first album goes under the name "System" literally the next year. The impetus for this was precisely Ptah, who decided that the time had come for reunion. After Guf left the group, the guys did not maintain contact for about five years. Each was engaged in his solo career, but, as Slim put it, “Center” gave them a lot, and therefore it is worth trying again.
To date, the entire rap group Centr, together with A'STUDIO, is recording a new single, “Far Away”. Work is already underway on the clip. Soon fans will be able to see new and fresh creative ideas of musicians.
