Novinet - instructions for use.

The drug is available in pale yellow tablets, which are coated. The Novinet tablets, the instruction of which is presented here, are a biconvex disk with the letter β€œP” marked on one side and the letters β€œRG” on the other.

Structure

Active substances:

  • desogestrel - 150 mcg (in 1 tablet)
  • ethinyl estradiol - 20 mcg (in 1 tablet)

Excipients:

  • anhydrous colloidal silicon dioxide;
  • potato starch;
  • quinoline yellow;
  • povidone;
  • alpha tocopherol;
  • stearic acid;
  • lactose monohydrate;
  • magnesium stearate.

pharmachologic effect

The drug "Novinet" is a complex hormonal contraceptive that must be taken orally, containing a combination of estrogen and gestagen. Novinet inhibits the release of gonadotropic hormones by its action.

One of the active ingredients - desogestrel - inhibits the synthesis of FSH and LH in the pituitary gland and blocks ovulation, preventing the maturation of follicles.

Ethinyl estradiol, together with the hormone produced by the corpus luteum, is involved in the organization of the menstrual cycle, in addition, it interferes with fertilization, preventing the eggs from ripening.

Indications

It is an oral contraceptive.
