The cooking process begins with cutting meat. Cut the chicken into small portioned cubes, season with ground pepper and a pinch of salt. It is important to remember that if chicken was bought frozen, then the defrosting process should be natural. Forget about the microwave and be patient. Correctly thawed meat will never “leave with water”, it will have the right taste and texture after heat treatment.

Chop onions rather large. We do exactly the same with carrots. For an ideal pilaf with chicken in a slow cooker, vegetables should be cut into large enough pieces. If the carrots are crushed with a grater, then its taste will simply be lost against the background of the many spices that are used in the preparation of pilaf. Turn on the slow cooker. We set the "frying" mode. Pour a little oil into the bowl. First, carrots are sent to it. Fry it a little and add onions. You can add a few feathers of sweet bell pepper for taste and brightness of the color. We take out the fried vegetables.

Now the meat will be grilled. Spread chicken pieces on the bottom of the crock-pot. Fry, not leaving far and constantly stirring. Since pilaf is traditionally cooked solely on high high heat, the heat should be set to maximum in a slow cooker.

When the meat is fried well enough, we send vegetables to it. Pour the required amount of rice, add clean still water. Proportions of 1: 1.5. Pour the selected spices for pilaf and lay the head of garlic on top.
