On January 10, 1966, the future vocalist, songwriter, leader of the group “Different People” Alexander Vladimirovich Chernetsky was born. He was born in the city of Kharkov, in which the composition of the rock group was formed. However, later, when the rocker moved to the Northern capital, he took on new musicians.
School years
From early childhood, Alexander Chernetsky became interested in football, which he began to seriously engage in at school. Especially for this purpose, the boy was enrolled in the sports class of the school, where he had to train daily for all his free time.
Then, in his school years, Alexander liked the works of Vladimir Vysotsky, the love of which made him learn to play the guitar.
In 1983, when the musician turned 17 years old, he graduated from secondary school.
Institute Attempt
The further goal of Alexander is to enter a medical institute. In his hometown, it was impossible to be enrolled in a local university because of the huge flow of people who wanted to get there. Then Chernetsky went to the city of Poltava with his relatives to enter the institute located there.
Before entering a higher educational institution, his administration organized a contest among applicants, the essence of which was that they had to show their artistic, vocal, artistic or other skills. Those who won the competition were given an advantage in the exam if they had equal scores with other applicants. Here, an interesting and unfair event happened to the future musician.

Before his speech, Alexander Chernetsky prepared a song that he was going to sing for the public, but he was prevented by the entrant who spoke before him. The fact is that he sang a song about the Komsomol. Alexander did not really like it. Either to spite this kid, or contrary to the whole system that existed in those days, he decided to sing a song of his own composition, written on the basis of the stories of his friends who returned from Afghanistan. The song was called "My friend returned from Afghanistan yesterday." After the performance, the whole hall, in which there were about one and a half thousand students, as well as teachers, applauded vigorously. But this did not save him - for the entrance exam he received an unsatisfactory mark.
And later, Alexander Chernetsky, whose biography from the point of view of the Soviet authorities was already messed up, got on a call to the internal affairs bodies. The police and the prosecutor interrogated the young man about the song that he sang before entering the institute. Since the participants in the war in Afghanistan gave a non-disclosure agreement, the police tried to find out from Alexander who told him about the war and what was happening there. Law enforcement authorities tried to get information from Chernetsky not only about the Afghans who told him secret information, but even about the girl Sveta mentioned in the song. Chernetsky said nothing, writing during interrogation that the whole song was his invention. However, it was because of this act that the father of the guy was not hired for a secret venture.
First groups
After graduation, Alexander Chernetsky, whose photos were not yet in every magazine, began musical activity. He gave preference to the rock direction. In the graduation class of the school, together with his brother, he creates the Carbonarius group, which lasted less than a year.
A little later, Alexander Chernetsky organized the next team called “Rock Fan”. In 1985, Sergei Shchelkanovtsev joined her, composing songs and playing the keys. The group is renamed to Rock Front.
"Different people"
In 1987, Alexander Chernetsky, together with his bandmates, went to Riga to a music festival. Since there was no money, the guys got as best they could - where they were just rabbits, and where they entertained the conductors with their works. In Riga, they could not immediately get to the festival, then Chernetsky and the team went to play for the people on Dome Square, where one of the founders of the festival discovered them.
The organizer, impressed by the performance, invited the group to participate in the event, to which the guys, of course, immediately agreed, calling themselves so: "Different people."
Despite the fact that Chernetsky and the group had to perform using only an acoustic guitar and harmonica (plus a debris bucket was involved), they managed to win the hearts of the audience, received not only the audience’s sympathy prize, but even won second place. This achievement seemed more significant when they remembered that the group “ChayF” had taken the first, and only with a margin of two votes.
Rock band success
A year later, the group already played and participated in the sixth Leningrad rocker festival. "Different people" then acted last at the closing of the event. Well, after that they began to take part in all such concerts, festivals and other events held in the country. They were always met and escorted with a standing ovation, not only in Moscow, but also everywhere where the rock band visited (including, of course, Alexander Vladimirovich Chernetsky). Photos of rockers have become recognizable.
Personal life
Alexander Vladimirovich Chernetsky, whose personal life in 1990 began to play with new colors in connection with his marriage, became seriously ill. More precisely, he had an exacerbation of ankylosing spondylitis. An operation was urgently needed, but there was no money. He was not left by friends and acquaintances from the music world, including Boris Grebenshchikov, Yuri Shevchuk and others. They gave charity concerts to collect help to Chernetsky, wrote on television. With the collected funds, Alexander underwent surgery.
Alexander Vladimirovich married a girl named Inna, who later became the manager, producer of the Chernetsky team, as well as himself as a solo artist. Spouses have a daughter.
Political Views
In 2013, after the well-known events in Ukraine, Alexander categorically opposed the foreign and domestic policies of his native country. At the same time, he urged Ukrainians to remain human beings, to believe in goodness, to love their homeland and not to betray it. Regarding the situation in the Donbass, Alexander Vladimirovich is of the opinion that the people living there are fighting against the oligarchs. He also believes that the east of Ukraine had to immediately give the green light to federalization, and such a path would save the country from war. “I’m with them (I mean the inhabitants of Donbass), and you decide for yourself,” the musician once said.
Alexander Chernetsky is still engaged in musical creativity to the tremendous joy of his fans, fans and ordinary rock lovers.
