The drug 'Fenyuls'. Instructions for use

The drug "Fenyuls", the composition of which includes iron sulfate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, pantothenic acid, nicotinamide, thiamine monohydrate, riboflavin, ascorbic acid, is often prescribed by gynecologists during pregnancy. The medication refers to antianemic drugs. It is available in the form of capsules containing microdialysis granules. Intended for oral administration.

The drug "Fenyuls" recommends the use of the drug for chronic blood loss, iron deficiency.

Iron is a necessary component that ensures the normal action of myoglobin, hemoglobin, catalases, peroxidases and cytochromes. The element takes part in hepoezis (hematopoiesis), being a structural component of blood.

The best absorption of iron and the prevention of its prooxidant effect is ensured by the B vitamins and ascorbic acid included in the composition of the Fenyuls microdialysis granules.

Thiamine acts as a cofactor (non-protein substance) of enzymes during carbohydrate metabolism, as well as the activity of the nervous system.

The nicotinamide component is involved in normal cellular respiration.

As a coenzyme, pyridoxine is involved in the exchange of proteins, amino acids, and the synthesis of neurotransmitters.

Riboflavin is the most important catalyst in the processes of visual perception and cellular respiration.

Calcium pantothenate, being a component of coenzyme A, is involved in the acetylation and oxidation of carbohydrates and fats.

Vitamins contribute to the restoration of impaired metabolism of fats, carbohydrates, proteins in the presence of dystrophic disorders provoked by vitamin deficiency and hidden (latent) iron deficiency.

The drug "Fenyuls" recommends the use of the drug with a reduced content of B vitamins, as well as for the prevention and treatment of latent iron deficiency during prolonged or heavy menstruation, lactation, pregnancy.

Treatment of latent iron deficiency is carried out for a month. Dosage - capsule per day. It is recommended to take the drug an hour before meals.

For preventive purposes, during prolonged and heavy menstruation, one capsule is prescribed one to two days before the start, during menstruation and for one to two days after the end of the process.

When taking the "Fenyuls" medication, side effects can occur in the form of dizziness, epigastric pain, diarrhea, constipation, vomiting, allergic reactions.

The medication is contraindicated for hemosiderosis, hemochromatosis, hypersensitivity. The medicine "Fenyuls" instruction for use does not allow children under twelve years of age to be prescribed.

Taking the drug may cause a discoloration of the urine (staining in a bright yellow color). This phenomenon does not have particular clinical significance and is due to the presence of riboflavin in the medication.

Therapy for iron deficiency anemia is carried out under the control of hemoglobin concentration and serum iron level.

The drug "Fenyuls" instructions for use does not recommend taking simultaneously with other vitamin complexes in order to avoid hypervitaminosis.

No medicine is prescribed in combination with antacids, which contain salts of magnesium, aluminum, calcium, due to a decrease in iron absorption.

The pyridoxine component is able to reduce the therapeutic efficacy of Levodopa (an antiparkinsonian drug).

The iron that is part of the Fenyuls medicine reduces the absorption of drugs from the tetracycline group.

For children (from six months), the medicine is released in drops. The use of the drug in this category of patients should be monitored by a specialist.

Before using the drug "Fenyuls" it is recommended to consult a doctor.
