Apple baking is always very popular among guests. And the fact is that it is these fruits when baked that give an unimaginable taste and aroma. And if you add them to the most tender dough on kefir with the addition of semolina, you will end up with one of the best cakes for tea. And itβs called simply - mannik with apples on kefir. To make it even tastier, you can add a little cocoa to the dough, and pre-caramelize the apples. Small tricks, and the result will exceed all expectations.
What will be needed for cooking?
In order to make for your family chocolate mannik with apples on kefir, you need to take the following products:
- 200 grams of semolina (a glass with a quarter or a slide);
- 2/3 cups of granulated sugar;
- 2 chicken eggs;
- 250 grams of kefir (you can use any dairy products, even a little fermented);
- a teaspoon of drinking soda;
- 50 grams of natural cocoa powder (can be replaced with melted chocolate);
- a bag of vanilla sugar (a few drops of vanilla essence or natural vanilla seeds);
- 2 large apples (total weight should be 400-450 grams);
- 1.5 tablespoons of butter;
- and 3 more tablespoons of granulated sugar to caramelize the apples.
Another undoubted advantage of the manna is that it can be used to attach stale (not to be confused with spoiled) products in the refrigerator. So, for example, part of kefir can be replaced with cottage cheese, milk or sour cream.
Oddly enough, but from such simple products you get a very tasty apple pie. Maybe it's magic?
Cooking dough
If you clearly follow what the recipe for apple manna on kefir offers, you must first make the dough. This is due to the fact that semolina needs time to swell. If this is not done, then in the finished pie its grains can be felt, and it will not turn out so tall and magnificent.
First, beat eggs with sugar thoroughly, pour kefir (leave a little in order to extinguish soda) and beat the mixture well again. Put cocoa, slaked soda, vanilla sugar and semolina, mix well. Cover with a towel and leave at least 30 minutes. If desired, ground cinnamon and nutmeg can also be added to the dough, as these spices go well with apples.
Caramelization of apples
Next, in order to cook a manna with apples on kefir, you need to prepare an apple filling. To do this, cut the apples into slices and remove the core. If the peel is rough, then it is desirable to remove it. You can take them more or less, depending on how much you want the filling. It can be any variety: both sweet and sour. Accordingly, it is necessary to change the amount of granulated sugar.
Melt butter in a deep frying pan (or saucepan). Here it is extremely undesirable to replace it with a spread or margarine. Put apple slices, sprinkle sugar on top and fry, stirring, until they become transparent and acquire a caramel color. At this time, it will become clear how delicious the filling will be. Put caramelized apples in a baking dish (be sure to lubricate with butter in advance). But even this is far from the whole recipe for making manna on kefir with apples.
Bakery products
Put dough on top of the filling, which has already managed to be infused during this time. This must be done carefully so that it covers all the apples with itself. Put in the oven, already preheated to 180 degrees, and bake for 25 minutes. Put the finished and slightly cooled pie on a serving plate with apples up. If they are a bit left in shape, simply return the slices to their proper place. It turns out so beautifully that there is no need to decorate. And how delicious it is, it's hard to even put it in words.
It is worth noting that this manna with apples on kefir can still be baked in a slow cooker. To do this, it is best to use the "Baking" mode. Cooking time will be about 65 minutes. In addition, apples can be caramelized directly in it. And for this you will need the same "Baking" mode. In total, it will take 20 minutes. Only periodically it will be necessary to stir.
