Now I can’t believe it, but there was a time when no one even heard about alcoholic cocktails, not to mention trying them. There was no “bartender” profession as such - alcohol was poured either by barmaids, or by the clients of the restaurant themselves.
Arsenal of bartenders
Before perestroika, people used the most common alcoholic drinks: moonshine, vodka, champagne, wine, and, of course, beer. The choice was small, and few people managed to try liquor or vermouth - these drinks were a rarity and were brought from abroad.
Now the menu of any more or less decent bar is simply full of such extraordinary names as "Sex on the Beach", "Green Mexican", "Pina Colada", "B-52". All this abundance became a reality after the market was filled with alcoholic novelties from other countries of the world.
Sambuca, absinthe, Blue Curacao, Chardonnay liquor and other assortment of spirits aroused great interest of the former Soviet people. Bartenders appeared - and this profession is now comparable to a kind of art. Cocktails have become increasingly popular, and interest in them has not waned to this day.
Diabolical fantasy
An alcoholic cocktail is a drink obtained by mixing several ingredients. As a rule, most of the cocktails have a mild effect: apparently, that is why girls more often than boys prefer these drinks.
Of course, there are more "hard" cocktails that literally "knock down" a few minutes after drinking. One of them is the Armored Train cocktail.
The composition and impact of this cocktail on the body fully justifies its name - few remain sober after tasting this devilish idea of the bartenders. The main highlight of the infernal alcoholic invention is that in 25 small glasses (they are called "shot glass") alcoholic drinks of different strengths and various juices are poured in a certain sequence. The goal is to drink all the contents of 25 glasses, starting with the first and ending with 25! Finally, you can drink all this with a glass of beer.
If you master the entire Armored Train cocktail, you can survive, but the morning is unlikely to be good.
Strictly prescription
"Armored train" - a cocktail, the composition of which is limited by strict boundaries. Alcohol, which is part of it, is necessarily high-quality absinthe, good vodka and natural dry vermouth.
Drinks with which the explosive mixture is diluted are tomato and orange juices and sprite.
An armored train cocktail is being prepared as follows:
- First you need to put in a row 25 glasses.
- Then, in each 1, 7, 14, and 20 glasses, you need to pour 40 ml of dry vermouth.
- Next, fill 2, 8, 15 and 21 glasses with 40 ml of orange juice.
- Then we pour 40 ml of vodka into a 3, 9, 16 and 22 shot glass.
- Next, fill the juice with tomato juice 4, 10, 17 and 23.
- After pouring absinthe into 5, 11, 18 and 24 shot glasses.
- And finally - a sprite that is poured into 6, 12, 19 and the last, 25 shot glass.
The sequence should be as follows: vermouth, orange juice, vodka, tomato juice, absinthe, sprite. And repeat 4 times.
What is the strength in, brother?
Why is the Armored Train cocktail considered the most powerful? The fact is that alcoholic beverages have different strengths, and the degree, as you know, is not recommended for lowering. In the same cocktail, a kind of “swing” is obtained: from vermouth to absinthe, and then from absinthe to vermouth. And so - several times. In addition, sweet orange juice and carbonated sprite react with alcohol, and intoxication occurs much faster.
Bartenders strongly discourage beginners from drinking this cocktail at the club. Better to experiment at home - at least it's safer there. Those who have already tried this hellish alcoholic fantasy and want a more thrill, you can strengthen the standard cocktail "Armored Train", 25 glasses - this is not the limit. The main thing is to think with your head and not overdo it, so as not to subsequently be in the next world.
