The instruction “Tantum Verde” does not position the drug as antibacterial, but its strong antiseptic properties help the substances of the composition to penetrate the walls of bacteria and disrupt their intracellular metabolism. The drug also has a similar effect on fungal cells. Benzidamine is excreted through the intestines and kidneys.
Indications for use
"Tantum Verde" in any form is prescribed to patients with inflammation of the pharynx and oral cavity. These diseases include:
