This vegetable is prepared in many ways. One of them is Mexican cabbage. But this name implies several cooking options that can differ significantly from each other. Therefore, we consider several methods from which you can choose any. According to this principle, cabbage is prepared by adding its own ingredients. The original recipe is difficult to distinguish from this variety, but it is not necessary.

Surely this dish will appeal to men, since Mexican cabbage is a good snack. Take a medium-sized vegetable (thick heads of cabbage). We clear the forks from flaccid leaves and cut into 8 parts. In this recipe, the cabbage must be chopped very finely, and the carrots should be peeled and grated. Spread these two ingredients in a colander and place under ice water. This will allow vegetables to become more crispy. Then let the liquid drain. In the meantime, you can prepare the fill. Mix vinegar and oil, add cilantro. Salt to taste. Now pour the cabbage with this mixture and let it brew a little. Mexican cabbage is crispy and moderately spicy, with cilantro aroma.

Cabbage for the winter

Mexican cabbage is also very easy to prepare for the winter. To do this, cut the vegetable into medium slices. Five liter cans of salting will need two liters of water, 100 grams of apple cider vinegar (9%), 4 large tablespoons of salt, three tablespoons of sugar, 100 grams of vegetable oil, dill seeds, herbs, carrots and garlic. We clean and cut vegetables: chop carrots with thin cubes, chop garlic and herbs. Now put the cabbage and other ingredients in layers in jars. Next, prepare the fill.

To do this, put a pan on the fire and pour water. Add salt, sugar, vegetable oil to it, pour dill seeds. Lastly, pour in the vinegar. Pour jars of cabbage with this marinade and close them with lids. If you want the dish to be ready as quickly as possible, then pour the ingredients with the cooled marinade and leave in the room. In two days, Mexican cabbage will be ready. Put it in a jar and keep it in the refrigerator. This pickle can be made more spicy. To do this, add chilli peppers. If there is no fresh, then we crush ground.
