A piece of lean manna

Even, on the contrary, without dairy products it will gain lightness and airiness, and an orange will add tropical and summer notes.

The most important thing is that you can add dried fruits, various seeds, which will make the cake not only tasty, but also healthy, in the fast manna, the recipe of which we will soon consider.

List of ingredients

Indeed, it’s great that lean orange manic does not require any unusual ingredients. It contains only what can be found in the bins of each mistress, and it is very convenient!

Mannick Orange Lean

Are needed:

  • semolina - 200 grams;
  • orange juice - 300 ml;
  • cane / ordinary sugar - 180 g;
  • vegetable oil - 80 ml;
  • wheat flour - 50 g;
  • baking powder for dough - 2 tsp;
  • orange peel - 1 tsp.

Still need various spices to your taste, nuts, dried fruits and so on. The main thing is to consider that if you use a large number of sweet additives, for example, raisins, then you will need to reduce the amount of sugar for the test.

Orange preparation

To make our lean manna really useful, we will take over the production of juice. Thus, we will not only control the quality of products, but also reduce the amount of sugar.

Lean Orange Mannik Recipe

In fact, sugar can not be added at all, since the natural sweetness of an orange should be enough even for a whole pie.

So, we bought a couple of large and ripe citrus fruits and thoroughly washed them with water, as in the future the peel will also be used.

After that, we clean the zest from it, namely its bright orange part, before reaching the white layer. When you add it, an unpleasant bitterness will appear, but we do not need this.

Now squeeze the juice using a special juicer for oranges or your own strength. If you plan to use not all the juice, then it should be boiled to extend its shelf life.

Cooking dough

In a deep bowl, combine the semolina, sugar, coconut flakes and orange zest, thoroughly mixing them together. The finished mixture should be poured with orange juice and left for several hours for the cereal to swell. If you do not have several hours to wait, you will have to slightly warm the juice to speed up the reaction.

After the "maturation" of semolina pour in vegetable oil, mix and add the remaining ingredients, flour and baking powder. At the very end, you can add your favorite fruits and nuts, but do not overdo it, otherwise the dough can not just rise.

Prepare the shape by making a "French shirt". This is a way of preparing a container when its entire surface is greased with oil and then sprinkled with flour. Thus, a thin layer is formed that does not affect the taste, but helps the dessert to easily get out of shape.

We remove our lean manna in the oven (180 degrees, 40-50 minutes, depending on the power of your oven). After this, let it cool slightly.

Additional decor

Of course, it will be even tastier if we decorate the mannik. This can be done in different ways, but we will focus on the sweet glaze.

For her we need:

  • icing sugar - 50 g;
  • corn starch - 1 tsp;
  • lemon juice - 1 tsp;
  • water - 3 tsp

Cooking the glaze does not take much time, but it certainly will make our lean dessert at times more beautiful. And to facilitate this process, we will write it down by points, having studied all the features and details.

Leaning Manna Decoration

We mix all the dry components together, mix thoroughly, and then adding in portions, pour water.

When all the lumps disappear, you can safely glaze our wonderful mannick, decorate with fruits and mint and serve with hot green tea.

For real chocoholics

Moreover, the main recipe remains the same, but only some components change. Therefore, we remove the orange and its derivatives from the composition, replacing the juice with water, and the zest with cinnamon or nutmeg.

We add a few tablespoons of cocoa to the total dry mixture, depending on the desired taste (if you want a more tender option, then a tablespoon is enough, but if your love of chocolate desserts is very high, then you can skimp and pour two, three, and then four tablespoons).

Coconut flakes can not be removed, and add to it, for example, walnuts (it goes well with chocolate) and prunes.

The rest of the process is no different, and this is really cool, because you can experiment so much without fear of spoiling the dough or something else.

Conclusion

Well, today we baked two wonderful desserts with you. The first, lean manna, goes well with an orange. In addition, we can confidently say that an orange can be safely replaced with any other fruit, for example, juicy peaches or ripe bananas.
