Then, what happened, pour a tablespoon of vegetable oil and half a glass of water. Mix everything and knead with your hands until the dough becomes homogeneous in composition. It is also necessary that it does not stick to the hands. If you want the modeling dough to be more elastic, you can try replacing the water with starch jelly.
To cook it, you need to dissolve a tablespoon of starch in half a glass of water. In a separate saucepan, bring 200 grams of water to a boil and pour a solution of starch into it in a small stream, not forgetting to stir the mixture. Our jelly will be ready when its contents become transparent and slightly thickened. Allow the mixture to cool and add it to the flour instead of water.
Put the finished dough for modeling into a bag and send in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. That's all - our home-made material is ready for “work and defense”. Now you can begin to realize your fantasies. If you want your dough crafts to be colored, you can use the help of food colors, which are sold in the store. In order to apply various patterns or something else to the figures, you can also use gouache. When painting products from salt dough, it is worth taking into account the fact that after drying, the food coloring does not change its color, but the gouache turns a little pale. But it is worth considering that it is necessary to paint the figures only after they dry out. And drying of such products should be carried out in an oven with a temperature of about 80 ° C. For simplicity, you can use a heating battery.
