A little bit about the company

It is this manufacturer who is now the leader in the Chilean market. Most of the brands in this country belong to Concha and Toro. The assortment of this company is quite wide and covers the demand of consumers with any income. Starting with the budget line of Frontera and ending with such elite wines as Don Melhorn.

Wine "Sunrise" from Chile has its own niche in this company. It is one of the most popular in the European market, since drinks of this line are quite inexpensive.

Concha & Toro Estate

This company is the flagship of Chilean winemaking. The birthplace of Concha and Toro is the Maipo Valley. Now this manufacturer owns several plants, and the vineyards extend to almost ten thousand hectares, and this is only in Chile and Argentina. A little more than four hundred hectares are in California.

Wine Sunrise

Among the company's products there are such elite drinks as Casilliero Diablo and Don Melhorn - these lines have a rich and interesting history, but not everyone can afford their price.

A bit of history

The winery was founded in 1883 by a politician from Spain, Melhorn de Concha and Toro. He and his wife Emiliana brought a set of selection vines from France to Chile. The couple decided not to experiment and hired Labushera, a winemaker from France.

Wine Sunrise Chile

Since the Maipo Valley is ideal for winemaking, and clay-limestone soils only contribute to the ripening of high-quality berries, things almost immediately went uphill. In 1933, the first bottles of wine from Chile entered the export market. In the mid-nineties of the last century, Concha and Toro shares appeared on the stock exchange in New York.

Company nowadays

At the moment, the company has its own vineyards in all the key valleys of Chile. But the old cellars, whose age has exceeded two centuries, are still in working condition, and to this day they are used to store wine.

Wine Sunrise Reviews

โ€œConcha and Toroโ€ have so many different awards that it simply makes no sense to list them. The range of wines of the company is prohibitive, but it is Sunrise wine that occupies a special place. After all, drinks of this brand are found all over the world, both in ordinary supermarkets and the most expensive restaurants.

Types of wine

The range includes many red and white wines from various grape varieties. This brand is designed for a buyer with an average income. The most popular are the seven wines listed below.

Wine Sunrise Merlot

Wine "Sunrise Sauvignon Blanc". It refers to dry white wines. It has a bright yellow color. Its aroma is recognizable enough, as any sauvignon has pronounced citrus notes and light shades of herbs. On the palate there is a pleasant sourness, from which the drink is quite refreshing. It goes well with almost all seafood.

Wine "Sunrise Cabernet Sauvignon". This is a red semi-dry wine. Its color is so saturated that it casts a purple tint. Fresh fruit and toast are clearly audible in the aroma. This drink is more popular, as its taste is very rich with pleasant astringency. The notes of apples and grapes prevail. The wine has a rather long pleasant aftertaste. Serve it better with red meat and all kinds of cheeses.

Wine "Sunrise Merlot". Refers to dry red wines. Its color is very close to Cabernet, but the taste is quite different. Despite the fact that the wine is dry, it is much softer than the previous wine. Tolerance is less pronounced, although it is also present. In addition, the combination of tones of cherry, cocoa and black pepper gives the drink a special piquancy. The wine goes well with Italian cuisine and white meat.

Sunrise Carminer. Semi-dry red wine. Like the previous red wines of this line, it has a rich color with purple highlights. The aroma is pronounced dark fruits and chocolate. On the palate are heard spices and prunes. Karminer is an exclusive grape variety in Chile. At least that's why it is worth a try. Serve with meat dishes, cheeses and pastries.

Sunrise Chardonnay. Dry white wine has a bright yellow color. A pleasant aroma goes well with a balanced taste, in which notes of tropical fruits are pronounced. Perfect with seafood and Asian dishes.
