Plot

Komsomolets Andrei Trofimov dreams of becoming a writer. Wanting to get new impressions, he goes to the "construction site of the century" - the Bratsk Hydroelectric Power Station. At home he is waiting for a girl and loyal friends - the "nerd" Kostya, the cocky Sasha and the merry Boris.
Upon returning home, Andrei learns that Kostya lost 5 thousand rubles in cards. This is a huge amount of money even for his father, who is not the last in the Ministry.
True to their friendship, young people decide to engage in illegal business - trading in foreign goods and money. In this they are helped by an already experienced speculator nicknamed Pont. By deception, he lures the guys into the network he created.
