In the era of the fight against sexism, there will probably no longer be such American groups that beautifully show female sexuality and frank dance movements. From the band’s first clips, millions of fans around the world have enjoyed pleasant music and especially beautiful dances. And of course, most of the attention was focused on the soloist of Pusiket Dolls Nicole Scherzinger.
Start
The Pusiket Dolls group was created in the distant nineties as a dance group performing in a burlesque show. The organizer was Robin Antin, one of the most famous choreographers of American show business, known for her work in setting up dances for the shows of the popular bands No Doubt and The Offspring.
The soloist of Pusiket Dolls was the Hollywood beauty Carmen Electra, who was very popular thanks to the just-released television series Rescuers Malibu (1997-1999). At the initial stage, the group was more dance, performing cabaret-style performances. To save money, all rehearsals were held with a friend of the group leader - the famous actress Christina Applegate, who allocated a garage for this.
The publication
After a short rehearsal time, the same Christina Applegate in 1995 agreed to perform a dance group in one of the fashion clubs in Los Angeles, The Viper Room, owned by popular actor Johnny Depp.
After the performance, the Hollywood star considered this to be one of the best events ever to take place on the stage of his nightclub. The triumphal procession of the group in American clubs began, in a short time the Pusiket Dolls group achieved stunning creative success and became one of the most popular dance groups.
For performances, together with the group, Robin Antin invited the most famous actors and singers. Charlize Theron, Paris Hilton, Scarlett Johanson and other celebrities took part in various shows. Many music stars invited them to participate in their performances. Ricky Martin, for example, was accompanied on a world tour by one of the girls in the group. But things did not go beyond short-term cooperation.
And then it was decided to pay more attention to the vocal component of the show and the search began for the soloist Pusiket Dolls. The group previously performed with various guest vocalists who performed popular pop music of past years, the "dolls" danced dressed in lingerie or costumes in the American retro style.
Group voice
Relatively quickly, in 2003, after the auditions, two girls were selected: the soloist of the Pusiket Dolls group Nicole Scherzinger and Melody Thornton, who became the second vocalist.
Nicole Praskovia Elikolani Valiente Scherzinger was born in Hawaii, she owes her exotic beauty to a mixture of many bloods, her dad was Filipino, and her mother had Ukrainian-Hawaiian roots. The soloist of the Pusiket Dols soloist received from stepfather Harry Scherzinger, who raised her in conservative Catholic traditions.
Before joining the group, Nicole performed at the American "Star Factory", thanks to which she got into the women's group Eden's Crush, where she became a leading vocalist. The first single of the musical group took first place in sales and even entered the top of the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 chart. The second single was also a hit, which did not help the group, the production company went bankrupt and the group broke up.
After that, Nicole began a solo career, recording several songs under the pseudonym Nicole Kea, one of these compositions became the soundtrack to the comedy "50 First Kisses". The first time she saw the band perform in a show in 2002, when Carmen Electra was the lead vocalist, and a year later she herself became the lead singer of Pusiket Dolls.
First success
In 2003, the final composition of the musical group of six girls was formed, who began work on the first compositions. The selected vocalists were joined by Ashley Roberts, Jessica Satta, Karmit Bachar, and Kimberly Wyatt, who for the most part were engaged in dance. Antin remained as the founder, manager and business partner of the record company.
The musical compositions of the group in 2004 were used in two super-successful projects: the animated film "Underwater Brothers" and the romantic comedy "Let's Dance." The first single of the newly formed collective was released - Sway, a song from the last film, and a clip, the creation of which was inspired by the atmosphere of the film.
The debut album was released on September 13, 2005, under the modest name of PCD (abbreviation for Pusiket Dolls). The producer of the group was the famous Timberland, who already had extensive experience in promoting new musical groups.
Percussion composition of the album Don't Cha was performed with the popular rapper Basta Rimes. Thanks to this collaboration, as well as the fervent melody and demonstration of open female sexuality, the single immediately jumped to the top of the world charts. In the prestigious Billboard 100 rating, the song took second place. The group became a world music star, which impressed not only with its choreographic performances, but also with the vocals of the Pusiket Dolls soloist, whose photo adorned the covers of the world's leading music magazines.
Star cast
In total, over the entire period of the group’s existence, more than 25 girls went through it. In the stellar composition, known throughout the world, they were already singing with a sextet.
The second vocalist of the group was Melody Thornton, thanks to her voice she managed to pass the casting, she never studied dancing. It helped her to pass the viewing successfully that she remembered the dance movements when she watched the group's performance with Christina Aguillera.
Jessica Satta, Ashley Roberts and Carmit Bachar - professional dancers who performed in shows of American celebrities, they always emphasized that in the collective they are only for dancing. The soloist of Pusiket Dolls also said in numerous interviews that the group has always been a dance group.
Kimberly Wyatt became the main assistant in the group in the production of choreographic numbers and stage costumes.

In 2008, the second and last album of the group was released, which was also a great success, a total of 5 million copies were sold. Pusikets Dols made a world tour, at the concerts of which world celebrities performed: Lady Gaga and Britney Spears.
Already during the tour, the group began to shake with scandals related to the dominant role of the Pusiket Dols soloist Nicole Scherzinger. In 2010, the group broke up, all the girls announced that they were leaving the music band.
