Biography of Vera Matveeva: childhood and youth
She was born in 1945 (October 23) in the Khabarovsk Territory. Her hometown was Kuybyshevsk-Vostochny (now Belogorsk, Amur Region). Vera's father was a soldier. And my mother received a secondary vocational education. But for many years the woman was a housewife. She raised two daughters - the eldest Vera and the youngest Olya.
Our heroine from an early age demonstrated a love of music and singing. She loved to arrange home concerts. The audience was Vera's parents, as well as neighbors. They all admired the girl’s wonderful voice - a colorful soprano.
In 1951, the sisters began to master such an instrument as the piano. A teacher came to their home. And in 1954, Olya and Vera entered the music school, which opened in Khimki. Girls enjoyed attending classes.
Adulthood
In 1963, Vera Matveeva received a certificate of secondary education. With admission to the university she had to wait. The girl was not going to sit on the neck of her parents. She got a handyman at an engineering plant. The fragile young lady endured hard physical labor. However, she was paid very modestly for this. Therefore, Vera had to earn extra money: first, as a proofreader in a newspaper, then as a laboratory assistant at the Artillery Academy.
In our free time, our heroine read a lot. She was interested not only in fiction, but also in scientific literature. The girl had a particular passion for fiction.
Moving to Moscow
In 1965, Matveeva managed the first time to enter the Moscow Institute of Fine Arts. V. Kuibyshev. Vera was considered one of the best students on the course. In 1970, the girl received a long-awaited diploma. She, as a young civil engineer, was sent to work in Moscow. Faith was employed at the Hydroproject Institute. She was waiting for a good salary and prospects for further career growth.
Disease
Vera Matveeva did not work for long in the Hydroproject. One day she became ill. The girl was sent for examination. She found a tumor on the hard shell of the brain. In October 1970, Vera underwent surgery. Doctors removed the tumor. But their predictions were disappointing - the girl had to live a maximum of 4-6 years.
Creative activity
It was a serious illness that aggravated all feelings and emotions in Matveyeva. She had written poetry before. But those works that were created from 1970 to 1974 turned out to be the most striking and famous.
Vera Matveeva (see photo above) transferred some of her poems to music. During periods of better health, our heroine gave concerts. The girl was supported by her friends and colleagues: V. Berezhkov, V. Luferov and A. Mirzayan. That's not all. Matveeva Vera’s works were published in the famous journal “Science and Life”. Her industriousness could only be envied.
Despite the disease, our heroine continued to live an ordinary life. She married Abram Uster. The couple moved to Odessa. While in this sea city, the girl continued to perform not only her songs, but also the compositions of Turiansky, Kim and Okudzhava.
After Vera left, her relatives discovered songs in which she allegedly said goodbye to the whole world. Take, for example, the composition "about black gouache and about hope." In her voice of Vera sounds in a special way. The girl understands that there is no longer a chance of survival. This is made clear by the phrase "hope is waving."
Death
Vera Matveeva left painfully. In recent months, she practically did not eat anything, only drank mineral water. The girl prepared her soul for a meeting with God. Several times a day, our heroine read the gospel. She left this world on August 11, 1976. The funeral of Vera was carried out by her friends and relatives. She found her last shelter in a cemetery in Firsanovka.
In memory of the bard and poet
In 1978, a record with 5 songs by Matveeva was released. The entire circulation in a few weeks was bought up by her fans. But that is not all. In 1989, the company "Melody" released an album consisting of two records. For several years, tour gatherings in memory of V. Matveeva were held in the suburbs.
A program was broadcast on television in which V. Turiansky, A. Marzayan and V. Luferov told the audience about their colleague and good friend.
