Is the house running out of bread? Is your family used to eating fresh bread for breakfast? But do not run to the store now? There is the easiest option - to prepare delicious cakes on the water from products that are likely to be in your home. In addition, your cakes will be much healthier and tastier than regular bread from the store. And believe me, households will appreciate your creation.
In order to quickly prepare the dough for our cakes, the main components are necessary:
flour, water, vegetable oil, a little salt and sugar, soda (baking powder) - optional.
Easiest recipe
You need to mix flour (500 grams), water (1 tbsp.), Salt - ½ teaspoon and baking powder (20 g) or soda - ½ teaspoon (for magnificent dough). The finished dough should be covered with a napkin for 10 minutes.
Then cut the dough into several pieces, each of them must be rolled into small cakes. In a greased pan, fry them on both sides.
Ready-made cakes on water should be stored in a bag so that they remain fresh for a long time. Before use, the tortillas can be watered with garlic dressing (grated garlic mixed with pre-melted butter). They can be safely served with borsch.
Delicious cheese cakes
In a small saucepan, bring 300 ml of water to a boil, pour boiling water into a deep plate with flour (300 g). Knead the dough and put it on for 15 minutes. As you can see, the recipe for flat cakes on water is quite simple and accessible to every housewife.
Cut the finished dough into small pieces and then roll each into a thin layer with a diameter of 15 centimeters. In the center of each layer lay grated cheese (you can any hard varieties). Collapse each layer and carefully roll out. And now, ready-made cakes can be fried in a pan greased with any vegetable oil.
Please note that instead of the filling, you can put mashed potatoes with fried onions, salted cottage cheese, prepared meat, etc.
Green tortillas
To make flat cakes on water you will need flour (225 g) and warm water (half a cup). For the filling - fresh green onions (quantity - to your taste).
Make soft dough from flour and water. Leave it on for a few minutes.
Roll out a layer with a diameter of 40-45 cm. Lubricate it with any oil and scatter chopped green onions over the entire surface.
And now the resulting "sausage" needs to be divided into 5 parts and then each of them rolled into a small cake.
Fry all the cakes in a pan greased with oil. And our cakes are ready!
Sweet cakes with honey
Want to please your kids with sweet cakes? Try it - and you will see, they will leave "with a bang"! Of course, like previous recipes, these flat cakes on water are cooked using the same technology. So, we need two tbsp. flour, salt (a pinch is enough), a little warm water (four tablespoons), honey (two tablespoons), 1 egg, sugar to taste. And, of course, any cooking oil.
Mix honey and salt in a deep plate, add water, an egg. Stir and add flour to the resulting mass.
Cut the finished dough into pieces, and then each roll into a layer. Fry the resulting cakes in a pan with butter.
Sprinkle with sugar, serving.
Mineral water cakes
Mineral water cakes are prepared in the same way as regular cakes. The difference is that instead of ordinary water, you can add carbonated mineral to the dough. The dough is lush, airy. We advise you to make tortillas with filling. The stuffing can be minced meat, mashed potatoes, mushrooms with vegetables, etc.
For the test you need to take: mineral water (1 tbsp.), Salt (teaspoon), sugar (2 teaspoons), rast. butter (2 tablespoons) and flour (2 tbsp.). Prepare the dough from these components.
Divide it into small pieces and then each roll out into a small cake, grease with any oil and put any filling in the center. Pinch the edges and again carefully roll into a small cake.
Fry the finished cakes in a hot pan.
